Insurgency: Sandstorm Teaser Trailer Released

Insurgency: Sandstorm will be console players' first introduction to the Insurgency series, the first entry of which is a 2014 PC title that was praised for its addictive multiplayer modes, realism, and a steep learning curve. A new teaser trailer has been released showcasing Sandstorm's gameplay.

The developer has also talked a bit more about the multiplayer modes, which are the series' bread and butter. Sandstorm promises "16-versus-16 skirmishes with artillery barrages, gunships, A-10 strikes, and 4x4 vehicle support," "expansive, realistic maps with interiors to breach and high-value points to control," and objective-based modes that reward teamplay over individual prowess.

The end of today's trailer also confirmed that Insurgency: Sandstorm is still on track to release in 2018.
