Originally revealed at BlizzCon, Blizzard's own convention, in November, Blizzard World is a map that's been in development for the developer's first-person shooter Overwatch: Origins Edition
. It takes the form of a theme park based on the rest of Blizzard's franchises, including Warcraft
. Hopefully, there's some room for some Rock n' Roll Racing
. Well, after some extensive testing on the game's Public Test Realm, the game is now available for everyone to play.
The map is a hybrid of the game's Assault and Escort modes in which players will attack and defend the payload through Azeroth, Tristram and more.
The new map is not the only new content on the way in the latest update either. Blizzard has also added over a hundred new cosmetic items — ranging from sprays to skins — all available in the game's standard loot boxes.
Given some special attention are the 17 new epic and legendary skins (12 legendary, 5 epic), with Blizzard showing what each one looks like.
Blackhand Doomfist Black Cat D.Va Kabuki Hanzo Caution Junkrat (Epic) Capoeira Lucio Royal McCree (Epic) Ecopoint: Antartica Mei Immortal Orisa Asp Pharah Hellfire Reaper (Epic) Crusader Reinhardt Butcher Roadhog Peacock Symmetra (Epic) Magni Torbjörn Nova Widowmaker Barbarian Zarya Carbon Fiber Zenyatta
These new items and the new map should be available now. Any Overwatch
fans — or Blizzard fans in general — looking forward to a trip to the theme park?
