In TT's Weekend Announcements for January 5th-7th, we learned about My Time at Portia, a sandbox simulation RPG from developer Pathea Games that was inspired by the likes of Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Dark Cloud 2 and the Studio Ghibli films. My Time at Portia launched on Steam's Early Access program just yesterday, and the developer has also brought us the good news that the bright and cheery sim will make its way to Playstation 4 later this year.
In the town of Portia, players will take over a workshop left over to them by Pa. They'll gather resources to rebuild the workshop and their home, eventually turning the entire area into a farm where they can plant crops. Along the way, players will interact with the locals of Portia, who have "exciting stories to share, energetic personalities and individual behaviors."
For those wondering where the RPG aspects come into play, there are runes and dungeons outside town that can be explored. In addition to possessing resources that can be used back at town, there are enemies that must be defeated.
My Time at Portia costs £15.99 / US$19.99 / 19,99€ during Steam's Early Access and will receive a price raise when it is fully released. The title is expected on Playstation 4 later in 2018.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the My Time at Portia trophies.
