has been relatively quiet since it was announced
, but the game is back in style with the latest CGI trailer and some very interesting details. Bigmoon Entertainment is bringing the world's toughest rally to the console and the developer plans to give players a taste of the real experience.
From the start, the team wants to bring a truly realistic Dakar racing experience to the gaming world, aiming to make it the finest representation of the real-life Dakar in a video game. The title will include the major teams and drivers and will feature the five different racing classes: cars, trucks, bikes, quads, and SxS. Additionally, all of this will be available in single player, along with online and offline multiplayer, although it's not clear how all of this will be done.
Dakar is the world's longest cross-country rally, with participants covering hundreds of kilometers each day over a two week period. Bigmoon is planning to capture all of this in one of the biggest open worlds ever made in a racing simulation. It sounds massively ambitious, but if realised, it could be one of the most challenging titles to date.
Along with the stills, the team has released a full CGI trailer to give fans an idea of what awaits them in the brutal and treacherous desert sands.
will be landing on the Playstation 4 sometime in 2018.
