MotoGP and Milestone Will Continue To Race Together for at Least Four More Years

With many eagle-eyed members of the TrueTrophies community keeping an eye on what goes on with the Playstation Store, we've seen many titles come and go during our years of gaming. One of the reasons for games disappearing can sometimes be licensing issues. With the MotoGP series, this isn't going to be an issue for at least the next four years as developer Milestone S.r.l. has sat down with MotoGP and signed a contract renewal allowing the team to retain the licensing for the official MotoGP game. You can enjoy future MotoGP content on whatever platform you prefer as the new agreement will once again cover all console and PC platforms.

Lusia Bixio, Vice President at Milestone, is ready for an exciting future for [i[MotoGP fans:

We are very glad to continue working with Dorna Sports. MotoGP™ has been a key title in our portfolio during the past years and it will continue to play this relevant role in the future. The partnership with Dorna has proven to be excellent: year after year, we have been able to grow this license in the videogame world, achieving solid results including this year, when we successfully entered together into the eSports scene. We are confident that, together with Dorna, we will be able to provide all fans of the MotoGP™ franchise with an increasingly engaging experience in the future.
Pau Serracanta, Managing Director of Dorna Sports – Commercial Area, is also happy with the situation:

It is fantastic news for both MotoGP™ and Milestone to see our partnership continue for another four years. Having worked together since 2012, the foundations are strong to enable us to continue growing even more – and with the incredible success of both the videogames and the first ever eSports Championship, we’re confident the future will keep pushing the boundaries, as expected from MotoGP™.
The 2018 season kicks off in March so there's still plenty of time to hit the track in MotoGP 17, which released in June this year, and work up your excitement for what's to come in the future of the MotoGP franchise. Milestone will have hold of the licensing through until December 2021.

Hounding news for TrueTrophies ever since the site first launched. Lover of completions, tough achievements, shooters, action, adventure and racing titles, hip-hop, NBA, and my Scooby. I own an Xbox One and Xbox 360. If I ever get my gaming room back, and a whopping amount of constant free time to go with it, I may get a PlayStation console too.
