Gwent's Single Player Campaign Thronebreaker Delayed Until Next Year

By Andy Mills,
A few months ago, we found out about Thronebreaker, the single player campaign for everyone's favourite The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt spin-off Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. Unfortunately, developer CD Projekt has had to announce that this part of the game will be delayed until next year.

Gwent: Thronebreaker

The reason the team decided to delay "Thronebreaker" is because they intend to increase the scope of the game's campaign. While hearing about a delay is never fun, especially for expectant fans, hopefully when the campaign does come out players will be happy with the delay's outcome.

Not only will "Thronebreaker" come to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game in 2018 but CD Projekt plans to bring the game out of beta next year as well. In the meantime, they intend to increase the tempo of multiplayer updates that will bring content additions like cards, challenges and vanity items, as well as game patches and balance tweaks more frequently.
