Rock Band Blitz to Be Delisted

By Kelly Packard,
As gamers are well aware, the existence of titles containing licensed music is a fragile affair. Due to legal agreements, these games are allowed to be sold for a designated period of time before they will be removed from marketplaces, unless the parties can come to terms to renew the licensing. In the case of Rock Band Blitz, that agreement was five years. Developer Harmonix has confirmed the button-mashing Rock Band spinoff will be delisted as of August 28th.

Any free demos of it will also be removed. Harmonix has also reminded gamers that if you own Blitz, you can carry its library over to Rock Band 4 on current-gen systems. If you need help with how to do that, head over to Harmonix's step-by-step guide on it here.

They've also noted that "all 25 songs featured on Rock Band Blitz were released as standard DLC after the game came out" and "those versions of the songs will remain up until further notice."

If you're interested in adding Rock Band Blitz to your library, be sure to purchase it before the stated delisting date of August 28th.
