F1 2017 Reveals the 2006 Renault R26 as Its Next Classic Car

By Ashley Woodcock,
Another classic car has joined the lineup in F1 2017 as Renault becomes the latest team to recreate an iconic car just for Codemasters' upcoming racer. A brand new trailer has been released to showcase the classic 2006 Renault R26, which helped Fernando Alonso to win the 2006 World Drivers’ Championship.

The 2006 Renault R26 was also driven by Giancarlo Fisichella and managed to rack up eight wins out of the 18 of which it was a part. This included seven pole positions as well as five fastest laps. The impressive wins and laps were a leading result in the respective categories and was more than any other car in 2006. As well as Alonso's Drivers' Championship, the car also helped Renault claim their second Constructors' Championship too.
