Dying Light Set to Receive Another Ten Free Pieces of DLC in Coming Year

By Marc Caccamise,
With all of the additional content that Techland has already provided for Dying Light to this point, you could probably call it the game that keeps on giving. Or, at least, it will soon truly earn that moniker. The studio has announced that ten additional pieces of DLC are set to release over the next 12 months, and they'll all be completely free.

Op-Ed 1

The additional support for the game comes solely because of the continual demand from the community for more. During a presentation at E3, the company revealed that there are still nearly 500,000 people playing the game as recently as last month. That's one hell of a retained community for a game that released all the way back in January 2015. It's appropriate then that Techland is also developing a community platform which will allow players to give the developer feedback about upcoming content and provide a wish list of their own of what they'd potentially like to see. There will also be a number of community events taking place during the upcoming year.

The content of the DLC itself is wide-ranging to encompass many different aspects of the game. A new map will bring additional locations to explore and more story-driven quests to complete. Additionally, there will be new enemies, reworked gameplay mechanics, and general improvements to various aspects of the game as it currently stands.
