Insurgency: Sandstorm Trailer Explores the Story

Insurgency: Sandstorm is the sequel to a tactical shooter called Insurgency that grew its fanbase on PC. It's a game that focuses on teamwork and objective-play over being a one man army. The game comes with a full package of multiplayer content, including vehicle play, character customization, and ranked matchmaking. It also has a single player campaign which supports four-player co-op online and two-player splitscreen. It's that campaign which stars in today's trailer.

The story of the game sees a party of soldiers and fighters travel across a war-torn land on a mission. Today's trailer is narrated by one of those characters, a U.S. Army veteran, as he journeys with a female resistance fighter and a few others. We don't know their ultimate goals, but they're allies thanks to shared goals. The developers promise the story will have a deeply personal narrative that explores how war touches each of the characters in different ways.
