E3 saw the announcement of The Evil Within 2, the sequel to the terrifying The Evil Within. If you are like me, the original game terrified you beyond belief, leading to several sleepless nights while awaiting terror to strike at any minute. The Evil Within 2 is expected to drive home the same stark terror feeling.

You play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos, a man who has lost everything, including his daughter. In order to save her, Castellanos must partner with Mobius, the mysterious organization that destroyed his life previously. He must enter the world of Union, a terrifying creation by Mobius. A chance at redemption requires him to enter.

STORY OF REDEMPTION. Sebastian must descend into the nightmare to win back his life and family.
DISCOVER HORRIFYING DOMAINS. Explore as far or quickly as you dare through a world where nothing is quite what it seems, though be sure to prepare wisely.
CHOOSE HOW TO SURVIVE. Attack from the shadows with the crossbow, run like hell, or go in guns blazing with very limited ammo.
FACE DISTRUBING ENEMIES. Survive encounters with sadistic enemies and meet characters who may lead – or mislead – you on your path to redemption.
VISCERAL HORROR AND SUSPENSE. Enter a twisted world filled with anxiety-inducing thrills and disturbing horrors around every corner.

The Evil Within 2 is scheduled to release on the ironic date of Friday the 13th, October 2017.
