Middle Earth: Shadow of War's Nemesis System and Nemesis Fortresses Explained

By SpindlierPoet,
In the Xbox E3 Press Conference, Monolith's Creative VP Michael De Plater took the stage to show off "forging an army of followers" and "nemesis fortresses" in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. The demo shows off how the combat system works in the game, some new skills (like freezing enemies), the army manager, and a glimpse at the new map with two new locations.

Fortresses

We also witness the fight against Pushkrimp the Machine from one of the new seven orc tribes. Defeating Pushkrimp increases the assault force of the player during the demo to the combined assault leader's level, which is then compared to the Fort Nemesis leader before starting the attack.
