Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 Announced

By ,
Capcom has announced the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, a collection of the iconic Blue Bomber’s four most recent side-scrolling adventures, complete with several all-new features. A follow up to Mega Man Legacy Collection, which contained the series’ original 8-bit titles, the second iteration will span the evolution and retro revolution of the series.

Mega Man 7 was originally released on the Super Nintendo in 1995, the first and only title in the main series to be featured on a 16-bit console. Mega Man 8 debuted on 32-bit systems and introduced voice acting and animated cut scenes, albeit ones that have since become legendary for their amateurish quality. and Mega Man 10 will likely be more familiar, being already available on the 360 and via backwards compatibility.

In addition, the collection will include a museum jam-packed with history and production art and challenge remix stages for long-time fans. Whilst the series has always been known for its challenging gameplay, Capcom has also included first-timer friendly options such as added armour and checkpoint saves for easy reloads.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is due for release on August 8th.
