Hellpoint Funded for Consoles

By Roland Chansen,
Cradle games met its funding goal on Kickstarter for Hellpoint, an action RPG set in a post-cataclysmic world. Hellpoint puts players on a space station, the Irid Novo, orbiting a black hole after a cataclysmic event called “The Merge.” The events surrounding the nameless player’s situation are unclear and it is the player’s job to discover and piece together the story. As you explore the Irid Novo, “it quickly becomes apparent that you are being observed and that your choices will hold great consequences.”

Hellpoint will feature a dynamic environment that changes in real time based on the Irid Novo's position around the black hole. Enemies will change in demeanor, from aggressively attacking the player to running in fear. The space station layout will also change on each playthrough, creating a different experience each new game.

In addition to the single-player campaign, Hellpoint will feature split-screen co-op and PVP modes.

The campaign has raised over $38,000 with about 1,100 individuals contributing toward the $36,625 goal. If you wish to support the title, funding is open until May 9th at 7:00 PM CDT. Hellpoint is slated to release in the first quarter of 2018 on PS4.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Hellpoint trophies.
