Yooka-Laylee Update Looks Toward Camera Issues, Cutscene Skipping and More

By Kelly Packard,
Hotly-anticipated since it was announced as a Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor code-named Project Ukulele, Yooka-Laylee is on track to be 2017's most polarizing release. Luckily the team at Playtonic Games has started to look toward the issues that were criticized upon its launch, like camera issues, constant gibberish chatter and more.

In a blog post entitled "Spit 'n' Polish," an upcoming update has been detailed that will include "the optional ability to skip dialogue faster, bypass cutscenes or reduce those pesky gibberish voices."

According to Playtonic's ever-colorful wording, there will also be a "sprinkling of design polish throughout the adventure." The biggest improvement, and the most-requested, will be changes to the camera's functionality. They posted the above GIF to give gamers a preview of what they can expect from the camera when the update rolls around.

Yooka-Laylee 2

There is no release date for the update as of this writing, but Playtonic says we'll hear more about it in the coming weeks.

We've got the full list of Yooka-Laylee trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
