Borealys Games has announced that the Kickstarter campaign has successfully closed with funding reaching 930% of its original target for their new RPG title, Mages of Mystralia
. This means that every single one of the proposed stretch goals was achieved.
It's been a busy month and a successful last couple of weeks for the team. Earlier in the month, hardcore mode was achieved and this was quickly followed by Archmage mode and a new item, the Blood Wand. With the most recent update, it has been announced that the last of the ten stretch goals, Speedrun mode, will be added too.
Whilst the addition of the Blood Wand might not seem too significant, the team has revealed that there will be a number of special wands available to our heroic mage. These special wands will be hidden in the fabled land, requiring exploration of the world and the vanquishing of fearful enemies.
Along with the final update, the team has completed all seven of the video conversations with the writer, Ed Greenwood. This means that we now have episodes four, five, six and seven. In the short clips, Greenwood answers a number of questions related to the characters, the concepts in the game, and the unique difficulties encountered when writing for video games.
Finally, to wrap things up, the team has re-released a short video clip revealing the work that went on with the creation and recording of the original soundtrack, something of which the team is quite proud.
Mages of Mystralia
is still in the pre-alpha stage and no release date has yet been confirmed.
