Respawn, the developer of Titanfall 2, is continuing to add to the game's library of free, post-launch content. This next batch is called "Colony Reborn." With it comes the return of a familiar map and a new weapon and execution. There will also be more cosmetic in-game unlockables that players can purchase with real money.
Colony, a map from the original Titanfall, is being added to the rotation. The developer doesn't say if it's had any changes or if it is the exact same map, but you can judge for yourself in the video below or the screenshot above.
There will also be a new weapon, the R-101, and a new execution called the Curb Check.
R-101 - Universally well regarded for its unique versatility, the R-101 platform has been a mainstay of human conflict since the first settlers arrived from the Core Systems. This version is outfitted with ACOG scope.
For players who enjoy the game's purchasable cosmetic content, there are some additions here as well. Two Prime Titans are being added along with five new Titan nose art designs and one new Titan warpaint per Titan type. There is also a camo package containing 20 camos and a call sign pack that includes 20 banners and 20 patches.
Titanfall 2 will also be seeing another free trial weekend from March 30th until April 4th. Once again players will have free roam of the entire multiplayer experience. A little bit of the single player will be accessible, but only the training grounds and first campaign mission. A double XP event will be hosted during the same dates and will be active in all of the game's multiplayer modes.
With the DLC drop, there will also be a patch containing "a plethora of bug fixes, balancing, and game improvement."The patch and DLC are both going live for Titanfall 2 on Thursday, March 30th.
