Ant Workshop Announces Dead End Job By Ashley Woodcock, 20 Mar 2017 CommentsBased in the cold of Edinburgh, Scotland, independent game developer Ant Workshop has announced their new twin-stick shooter Dead End Job, which will be coming to consoles early next year. The title will have the look of a 90's cartoon with the replayable gameplay of a fast-paced and addictive twin-stick shooter. Players will take on the role of a worker at a paranormal pest control company known as Ghoul-B-Gone — the #1 experts in their field of expertise. The company makes money by capturing ghosts, using a tug-of-war mechanic, rescuing citizens and then adding completed jobs to their client's bill. As a worker, you'll be competing against the golden boy of the company for the Employee of the Week star. The more money you make, the better your chances at obtaining the star. The cartoon-style artwork of the game has been crafted by Joe Blakeston, known for his work with Aardman, BBC and RSC, and is inspired by favourites such as Ren & Stimpy. The audio comes courtesy of award-winning audio designer Will Morton who has worked on the Grand Theft Auto series in the past. The game will also feature Twitch integration that will allow for viewers to aid or hinder the streamer with the option to choose their powerups.
