New PvP Arenas and Team Password Feature Previewed for Dark Souls III

By Kelly Packard, 5 months ago
Two more PvP arenas are coming to Dark Souls III's Undead Match with the advent of next week's "The Ringed City" DLC. The arenas will be available to players who own either "The Ringed City" or the previous expansion, "Ashes of Ariandel," and anyone who owns both via the season pass, of course. The much-requested team password feature is finally coming to Undead Match as well.

The first map is called Dragon Ruins, "set in the unforgiving landscape of Archdragon Peak":

The second is Grand Roof, placed atop the Lothric Castle. It features "a round battleground, stairs and a tunnel to surprise your opponents."

In the screenshot below, get a quick look at how the password feature will work. The new feature, which was oft-requested by frequent PvP players, should make pairing up with friends an easier affair. Players can have separate passwords for friendly teams and enemy teams, only allowing them to match with each other, or have a general password that will allow everyone to select which team they'd like to join.

Since "The Ringed City" is the second and final DLC for Dark Souls III, the game is scheduled to receive its Game of the Year or Complete Edition next month on April 21st:

"The Ringed City," the new PvP arenas and the Undead Match team password feature all launch on March 24th for Dark Souls III.
