Weekend Headlines Feb 3rd-5th Pt 2: Trailers, Screenshots and More

Part 2 of the weekend headlines brings us the trailers, screenshots and miscellaneous details that were revealed for numerous titles.

Trailers

A Rose in the Twilight (JP) (Vita) leads the way with its first gameplay trailer. Watch the game's titular Rose and the giant work together to unravel the mystery of the thorns and find out the history behind the castle that is void of color and time.


Boundless fans get to see a rare glimpse of a game's developer practising their gameplay before they showcase it to a wider audience. This video shows the team practising before they recorded the footage for the trailer that was showcased at PSX in December 2016.


This weekend, publisher SOEDESCO reannounced survival horror title Dollhouse, due to be released this year. In a title where suspense plays a much bigger part than jump scares, players construct their own narrative with their own choices, deciding which memories they wish to keep and which they want to burn away forever.


Earthfall is a first person shooter that will be arriving on Playstation 4 early this year. In this stream, Holospark's community manager Kells discussed game design, art production, studio management and more with other members of the development team. They also showcased the latest build of the game.


If players pre-order Mass Effect: Andromeda, they'll get an exclusive set of Deep Space Explorer Armor, a Unique Nomad skin, and a Multiplayer Booster Pack. You can take a look at all of this content in the trailer below:


Ahead of the game's release tomorrow, Playstation Underground managed to get hands on with Nioh (PS4). Below you'll find over 30 minutes of gameplay footage if you can't wait less than 24 hours to get your hands on the game.


Infinite State Games hasn't been shy of showing us gameplay footage lately for their upcoming Rogue Aces. The latest video showcases more gameplay from the beta build of the game.


STEEP's Alaska update will be arriving on February 10th. The latest trailer for the game gives players an all too brief glimpse at the new map:


DLC for The Pinball Arcade may appear on mobile and PC platforms first, but it does eventually make its way to Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and Vita. The following trailer showcases the latest table to arrive on mobile and PC: Al's Garage Band Goes on a World Tour. There is no indication of when it will be released on Playstation platforms.


The final trailer of the week is an all-too-brief glimpse at the gameplay in Tokyo Xanadu. You'll be able to get your hands on the Vita version this summer, with the Playstation 4 version following in the autumn.

As well as announcing the release date for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age in the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, Square Enix gave us a very brief glimpse of . It isn't much, but it's enough to tease eager fans.

Horizon Zero Dawn releases at the start of next month and publicity for the title is starting to ramp up. Here is the latest batch of screenshots showing off the PS4 Pro compatibility, cinematics and the game's landscapes.


Miscellaneous

Those of you who are into exclusive physical editions of your games will be pleased to know that Limited Run Games have announced three more titles that will be available in the future. DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours will be available for Playstation 4, while forma.8 and The Swindle will be available for Playstation 4 and Vita.

Sniper Elite 4 will be released in just a few days time. Developer Rebellion wants players to know that the game will cater for PS4 Pro owners from day one. The additional features that it will offer are:

  • Enhanced frame rate
  • Increased draw distances
  • Increased geometry level of detail
  • Improved lighting and shadows fidelity
  • Increased image quality of reflections
  • Faster loading times
Finally for this week, we were given a visual reminder of the pre-order bonuses for Styx: Shards of Darkness. Players who puchase the game before its release date will get "The Akenash Set" DLC that includes a bonus outfit and dagger.
