Dirt 4 Behind-The-Scenes Announcement Event Trailer

The recently restarted DiRT Show went behind the scenes at the recent unveiling event in the UK for the upcoming racing title DiRT 4. During the event, host Andrew Coley chatted to chief games designer Paul Coleman, and senior games designer Darren Hayward, as well as rally drivers Petter Solberg and Kris Meeke.

Over the course of the 30-minute clip, we get to hear what both of the rally drivers think of the new title and how they helped contribute with advice. Additionally, we are shown how the new 'Your Stage' feature works with the creation of unique tracks and courses. The team also discusses how difficult it was to keep the game secret and the importance of being able to reveal the title at the right time. Finally, one of the key questions from the game's community was whether the title would now follow the hardcore simulation model introduced by DiRT Rally or would be more arcade friendly. The answer, along with a very surprising revelation, will be reassuring to all fans of the franchise regardless of their driving level and expectations.

Dirt 4 will be heading to the PS4 console on June 9th, 2017.
