Protocol Games, developer of the upcoming story-driven third-person survival horror title Song of Horror, has announced a release window for the game via their official Twitter account.

Key Art

Song of Horror is a thrilling movie-like title with automated cinematic cameras that will help to boost the experience. Players can take control of up 16 characters who are all "normal, everyday people". With perma-death as part of the game's mechanics, every decision counts and can have chapter-stopping consequences even if you make just one mistake.

The story follows Daniel Noyer, the main character of the 16 playable ones. He's a "washed-up advertiser and former entrepreneur" who has fallen badly from the high and mighty times of a wealthy man. Daniel finds himself in a very low position within a publishing house when he receives an urgent message to find renowned writer Sebastian P. Husher, the most important client of the company, who hasn't been seen or heard from for a few weeks.

As Daniel arrives at Sebastian's mansion, it's obvious that something's not right. It's nightfall, but the lights are off; after being warned about the dog at the entrance, there's not a dog in sight. To top it all off, the main door has been left ajar where a hallway that is drowning in shadows awaits you inside.

Then, the scary music kicks in to break the silence.

Protocol Games has now scheduled Song of Horror for a Halloween release on Playstation 4.
