CDF Starfighter Gets VR and Non-VR Versions

Back in May, we revealed a space combat simulator called CDF Starfighter. The title was originally revealed to require Playstation VR. This is no longer the case. Next year, the title will be coming to Playstation 4 in both VR and non-VR versions. The VR version is still in Early Access on Steam where developer MAG Studios is taking the opportunity to test the title to its limits. Take a look at the latest VR footage that was taken from the PC build:

I have good news for those of you who won't be investing in VR, though. A non-VR version will be coming to the Playstation 4 next year, too. Renamed Starfighter Origins, this version will focus mainly on the campaign mode. This won't be the only mode — there will also be an instant action mode, simulator mode and challenge mode. We detailed some of these game modes back in May and they can be seen in the exclusive screenshots that we have below:

You'll be able to try out the VR version of the title first when it releases early next year. CDF Starfighter Origins will follow in fall 2017.
