  • Games I'll Possibly Play In December

Well, with no new AM game to play, it'll be interesting to see what I decide to do this time. :P

Also: the on-going Twelve Days of Christmas will no doubt dictate it to an extent as well.

In any case, there's one game that I really, really, *really* wanna at least finish the story for, can you guess what it is?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? wink

I think most of you will know but just in case you're new: Rabi-Ribi Trophiesrock

Other than that, I don't think I'm going to say anymore. I think the element of surprise might be better just this once. wink As much for me as for you, anyway, with the current challenge. :P

  • Final Thoughts

Well, that's that, another month rounded up and just one left to go, it's been one heck of a year in so many ways but I'm certainly looking forward to what 2018 may bring at this point, I certainly feel it could be a good one. toast

Still been enjoying my work on the GI team, it was a busy month, what with all those flag submissions we've been having for the contest! Really grateful to everyone that has helped out with that. toast

On a related note: we also had some new additions to the team for it and one of my awesome friends has recently been added. biff_beefcake, I hope you'll enjoy your time with us!

Thankfully, last month was a bit better on a personal level than the last 2 but it's still been a bit of a struggle at times. Nearly didn't make my 10K TT a month target again but fortunately can turn it on when I have to. Just one more month to go and I don't have to be as stressed about it anymore. :P

It was also very nice to get my 200th Plat, took substantially less time than the first 100, that's for sure. I look forward to continuing on my journey to even greater heights! toast

I also got my first Switch game in advance...Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Collector's Edition, was never gonna miss out on that, I just hope that it doesn't prove to be a waste of money like X was.

Goodness knows when I'll play it, maybe next year or the year after, I'm in no hurry to buy a Switch when I have literally 3 games I want for it and the 2 I don't have, I could easily have passed on this time (Super Mario Odyssey and LoZ: BotW). There's Metroid Prime 4 as well, I believe but it's the same story every time, just those 3 series by and large, very little of any real interest to me personally.

It'd be nice to see another DKC or Yoshi game, though! :D

I'd sooner get PS VR but even that isn't something I'm in a hurry to get right now. I suppose it doesn't help that money is a bit tight currently but it's something I can save for, so no problems there.

It might be my big choice next year: PS VR or the Switch. Xbox One X, not interested, same with the PS4 Pro, unless it proves to be effectively essential for VR...or my current one breaks, of course.

Anyway, I'm digressing completely there. :P

Also: I've been dying to do some different blogs on here, not had as much time as I'd like for that. Hopefully, I can do at least one of them before next year but chances are, it'll have to wait until 2018.

Would also like to spruce up the older ones to match the current style, which may actually be having some tinkering in 2018, more on that when we get there.

Finally: I would like to say once again, thanks very much for your continued support and friendship to those of you who read this and interact with me regularly, I'm really humbled to have found so many cool people on here.

So what have you sexy readers been doing with yourself in November? And what are your plans for December and beyond? Be even sexier and tell me in the comments!

Slayer1189 Another great blog as usual toast

The Games
Licky the Lizard - As you know I have a thing for bad games... Would you say this is worse than Orc Slayer or Eekeemoo?

I do half disagree with the RNG/skill-based thing. My view is this, RNG is fine in a gamme that is skill-based, as long as you can overcome any circumstance with skillful play! At the point where RNG could kill you, regardless of skill, it has gone too far IMO.

Again, congrats on doing Blue Rider. I hate inertia controls in games like this which is what put me right off Blue Rider. Assault heroes was a good game but the 'vehicle turning' ruined it a fair bit as far as i'm concerned.

If there is one thing I HAVE to say about Superhot "it's the most innovative shooter i've played in years" wink.

I really did like playing through Superhot, but found the extra modes a bit repetitive as you say. I also played through Superhot VR taking turns at a friends and it works well in VR. A few VR games I have played aren't on my profile as I don't own VR and we take turns with friends on gaming nights.

Misc
Another month of all completions! You hve been playing like a hardcore completionist of late! laugh

I too will be jigging my gaming abit to meet the 12 days of Xmas challenge. I love these community events and loved the alphabet challenge! I wish you the best of luck completing it toast

I got Xenoblade Chronicles 2 yesterday and have played a bit of it. Most of my December will be the community challenge, Xenoblade and The Witcher 3 I think (with GI Flagging as well ofc). I will be sure to give you my thoughts in time. I haven't played the previous entries though so I can't compare there redface

In terms of the Switch, I definitely agree you shouldn't be in a rush to buy one. It has the potential to be a must have but at the moment it is still getting there. I was on the fence for so long and ultimately if I wasn't on the move as often as I am I would have waited longer to get one. Nintendo could still mess it all up so waiting is a good idea!

As for other ideas for blogs, I like your style and viewpoint so would be happy to read pretty much any blog, but if I could throw my tuppence in; I like the idea of having thought provoking blogs on big topics, or blogs that go into different game types styles etc.

Ultimately I would love to see which direction you go as it is always fun having a discussion toast

biff_beefcake Congrats on another perfect month! clap

November was a bit of a blur for me, I had a lot going on! It was my son's 5th birthday (16th) and I got him Lego City Undercover to play (which I am looking forward to playing too!) and he loves it! He's reading, following instructions, role playing, solving problems, using a controller to input commands with his hands, anticipating situations, staying focused, calm, and on task, celebrating accomplishments (and trophies!)... I'm so proud! :)

I was mainly just playing Rune Factory, hopefully I will finish it by the end of the year, but I'll have to see where the challenge this month will take me! I have also realised that I have a massive to-do list for IRL stuff this month, too... I guess it's just that time of year (sigh laugh)

I'm also hoping for more blogs in 2018! toast

ImperatorA3 Congrats on your excellent month, you achieved some beautiful milestones!

As for myself, I had a great month. Finished Chime#, Ratchet & Clank, WipEout Omega and Azkend 2. Which gave me a nice amount of TT points.

Since the goals that I set at the start year, are unattainable at this point, I'm focusing on 400.000 TT by the end of the month.

Games that I will be playing and hoping to finish in December:

- Cosmic Star Heroine: made a little progress last month. Doesn't seem to grab my attention though (probably WipEout's fault)

- Mirror's Edge Catalyst: just started, big fan of the PS3 game

- Broken Sword Ep1-2 (Vita): something different for in between those PS4 games

- Lumines Supernova (PS3): this is going to be a challenge, already made some good progress, bu there are some hard trophies.

Maybe also will start playing: Adventure Capitalist (guilty pleasure), Defense Grid 2, Treasure of Montezuma 4

AtsumaKarin Slayer1189: cheers! toast

I wouldn't go quite as far as saying that Licky is as bad as those atrocities...it at least technically works, just not very well. wink

Though there has been a patch or 2 for it since I played it, which apparently improves performance so IDK how that will impact it.

I suppose my RNG comment was a bit too broad....yeah, in those circumstances, I could probably tolerate it. smile Still would rather it be all down to skill (or at least 99.9%) though.

It's funny: I almost mentioned Assault Heroes in my post because that was the game it reminded me of, I wasn't very keen on that one, tbh. Blue Rider is quite a bit better than that imo.

Indeed, SUPER. HOT. laugh

I'd love to play the VR version one day to see how it compares, meant to be tougher as well!

Indeed, I have but I fear with Twin Robots part 2, that's where it ends with this Christmas Challenge. laugh Gonna have to Bean Dive a little from here on out, I think.

Indeed, do let me know how you find it, no spoilers, though! wink

I'm glad you enjoy my blogs! smile Yes, I do plan on perhaps tackling some more thought-provoking topics in the future for sure, as well as more run-of-the-mill ones, such as Top 5s. :P

biff_beefcake: cheers! toast

Really glad to hear your son is having so much fun and earning trophies too, you're the coolest Mom in town, I'm sure! smile

I'll have to play Rune Factory eventually, it's in my huge backlog but there are many more games I'd rather play first currently.

Yes, Christmas is a busy time of year!

ImperatorA3: thanks very much!

You did have a great month, some really great completions there. Nice work using the symbol for Sharp there too! wink

Well, I'd say the bottom 2 goals in your list aren't entirely unachievable, depends on what kind of games you play.

I need to get to Mirror's Edge, got it when it was free for that brief spell a few years ago.

Lumines: ooh, I didn't like that one when I played it on 360 for a contest. I managed to get all the Time Attack achievements somehow but CBA with the rest of them. :P

I'm sure you'll be able to crack it, you seem quite good at those games, by all accounts!
