Extra- Life 2014 - The PlanPermalink
Today is THE DAY!!! The start of the TrueAchievements marathon. Team TrueAchievements (which includes TrueTrophies as well) is doing an absolutely FABULOUS job as we currently are 65 members strong and have raised over $9,900 for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Not only do I believe we're going to SMASH our goal of raising $10,000, I believe we're going to have tons of fun while helping this noble cause.

Before going into the details I'd like to send an UBER huge THANK YOU to the lovely individuals that have donated to support me in this cause. Thank you for your encouragement and helping me earn my T-shirt. You guys and gals Kick Ass and chew bubble gum. toast

Time for....

  • THE PLAN

Currently it's 2AM (yeah, I'm a nut and got up at 2AM). While I don't have minute by minute planned out, I do have a basic plan of how I'd hoping the day goes. I've got lots of options 'prepped' (ok...install to my console) just in case the spirit moves me. smile

3AM - 8AM
Xbox One and Xbox 360 game on time. I'll be starting off on the One, working on some stuff from my currently playing list...

Kinect Sports Rivals - There are a few challenges that I'll be trying for
Call of Duty: Ghosts (Xbox One) - Probably through myself into the campaign here
Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (Xbox One) - Hardmode and last collectable...maybe???
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Xbox One) - Something fun and lightweight in case Hardmode and the collectable start to frustrate me in Guacamelee.
Just Dance 2014 (Xbox One) - Just in case the feet need to be tapping

I've got a few new games to start
The Walking Dead (Xbox One)
The Walking Dead: Season Two (Xbox One)
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments (Xbox One)

I'll also be jumping onto the 360 at some point with my co-op buddy to work on
Star Trek - We're down to our last few levels in Hard mode (technically it's our second time through) and we're testing to see if this unlocks for us online...I'm not holding my breath, but we should finish the commendations.

There are a few other games on my 360 that I might work on and/or start but between what I'd like to play on the One and my co-op session it's probably not likely that I'll get there this morning before the family it up and at it.

8AM - 12PM
When the family is up running around, usually the Xbox is off (or I'm afc). We've got a little running around to do today, so Thank goodness for Mobile gaming. I'll be getting a few hours of angry bird's in for sure as I've been working on...

Angry Birds Rio (WP)
Angry Birds Star Wars (WP)
Angry Birds Star Wars II (WP)
Angry Birds Seasons (WP)

Just to mix it up I'll probably jump into both...

Microsoft Minesweeper (WP)
Tentacles: Enter the Mind (WP)

maybe switch over to
Wordament Snap Attack (Win 8)

There will also be some Vita Time as I'm a few trophies away from the completion in...

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Vita)

And in case I need more Lego time (who doesn't right???), I'm prepped with...
LEGO The Lord of the Rings (Vita)

12PM - 8PM
This is the least planned out time for the day. The only ‘plan’ during this time is getting the family involved as much as possible. Giving back to the community is something I feel very strong about and something I want to instill in my family. To paraphrase, I wise woman once said (Ok, it was Oprah smile)...
Some of us are blessed by being in the position to give back globally and make an impact on people all over the world. Some of us have been blessed with the tools to give back nationally and impact people across the nation. Some have been blessed with the tools to give back to a city and impact those that live in our local area. Everyone has been blessed with the tools to give back to their community, either by donating money, donating canned food, helping a neighbor when they’re in need, or by supporting and encouraging others when they are giving back.
I’ve always taken those words to mean ‘No Excuses’…find something you feel passionate about or something you’d like to support and figure out how you can give back and this is something I want my family to take with them as they grow into adults…so yeah…there will be some gaming with the family time here which will probably include games like…

Candy Land
Hungry Hungry Hippo
Rummikub
Go Fish

8PM – 4AM
Probably going to be sleeping here. With all the business on the site and real life this past week, I’ll probably be heading off to been for a few hours so I’m not Zombie Mommy come Sunday morning…even though my family might still call me Zombie Mommy.

4AM- 10AM
Back on the One and the 360. I’ve got another co-op session planned, but this time in
Call of Duty: Ghosts - We’ll see how far we make it in Awakening. smile

10AM - until I’ve reached 24 hours
Assuming I haven’t completed all 24 hours, I’ll be using the rest of the day to ‘make up’ the time. There will probably be some more mobile gaming and since it’s a weekend I’ll probably twist some arms of the family and force them to play with me (if I’m super convincing maybe I can get some 4 player done in Just Dance 2014 (Xbox One))

Whoooo….what a list!!! I’m excited and looking forward to some ‘proper’ gaming time. I’ll probably be streaming while on the One so feel free to stop, laugh at my failures, cheer with me when I triumph…should be tons of fun and for a GREAT cause. dance

Now where did I leave that controller again…
