Never thought I'd write a blog again but here I am in 2023 doing just that. How are you? How have you been? Are you well? What's new with you??

I honestly haven't been on TT for years but someone linked the trophies for the new Lego game and it took me here. So here I am.

Do I still game? Years ago I dropped the 360 pretty much when the PS4 came out and life threw me a few curve balls. In 2021 I lost my job just before Christmas and a week after my birthday. How I lost my job wasn't my fault. So I found myself with TUNS of free time and I knew I wouldn't be looking for a job for atleast a year. What to do?

I looked at my 360 collection and decided it was the PERFECT time to go through it. It felt daunting but Fallout 4 on the PS4 wasn't exciting me enough to continue with it so I started my "360 Adventure". It's been AGES since I've gamed this much. There has been a lot of poopy games I've now played. Most movie tie ins I didn't finish, not about that 1k life anymore. The only real aim is to ATLEAST play the game once and if I like it enough is to stick with it til the rolling credits come up on screen.

For the most I've played til the very end and a good handful I've had to abandon for various reasons. Like-

1) Controls are just broken.
2) It's a game I no longer have any interest in. This has mostly been racers/fighters.
3) There is no way to lighten the game up. With better technology I've found games on the 360 on my TV look super muddy/black. Making for a frustrating time and not worth it.

Just earlier this week I was silently killing people in Blacklist and I had to scramble into the AC shaft to save my life. I couldn't use my goggles to see clearly because they were jammed. But it was deathly black in there. I couldn't tell my arse from my front. It felt too much like IRL if I ever got into a situation like that (which will never happen. I'm not an assassin for hire, sorry).

I go in to the menu to change the settings and I turn brightness up to FULL and it was still super, super black. It was amusing, yet frustrating. I did finish the game though because I enjoyed being a silent panther and making everyone's necks pop. Or gassing everyone so they'd fall asleep except for the beefy mofos who you had to avoid or shoot off their helmets then one shoot em.

I'm more than half way through my 360 collection which is pretty amazing. I thought I'd probably give up and just come back to better graphics on the PS4 but I've stuck with it. I'm not exactly close because I've left some decent RPGs for last but I AM close(I know that sounds like a contradiction)!

And since the PS5 will play all my PS4 games once I'm done with the 360 games I'll treat myself to a PS5. Especially since Extra has nearly all the PS5 games I want to play. It's almost like the PS5 will pay for itself in terms of extra games and not actually needing to own them. I see that as a win!! And if I really want the games I can pick those up when they'll get cheaper at some stage.

Now I'm in a serious gunfight in Metro 2033 at the moment. I've read the novel so it's interesting seeing the book come to life in a video game. This game doesn't go easy on you one little bit.
