Just wish it hadn't been so damn buggy as the story/imagery in this was top drawer imo
Yeah, thought I'd better correct this one, I have no clue how I came to give this a 4/5 originally. Occasionally, I mess up lol
Maybe you just really liked it at the time :D
I just have so much more going on than I used to, if I'm not working, I'm spending time with Millie (new puppy) or playing games when I can. Even site work has taken a
bit of a back seat lately, which annoys me to no end. Also would like to get back into blogging but haven't been in quite the right mood for that lately. Hope you're all

No need to be sorry, sometimes things get hectic in life and theres no harm in taking a breather from some things.
Epic streak, gratz
If you haven't done the mp to this I heard one of the rare operations is available right now... I think it was Gallipoli
I have finished the MP on this one but need to do Battlefield V multiplayer..
Woot! not far now to 1 mil
Hopefully will get the million before the year's out, I'll be close enough after my 2 10K months I have left to do, so why not push that little bit further?

Finally coming back to 2018 GOTY ;)
I did the same with this one as I did with 3D Dot Game Heroes all those years ago ditched it when I only had like 4 hours of grinding left! Back to it now to get
It done and off the HDD but hadn't played since January. 2018 GOTY Maya? That doesn't say Vermintide 2 or CotM
We'll have to agree to disagree :P Speaking of which I need to get back to CotM and finish the game 2 more times to get all the endings. Then start RotN.
Felt like I was harsh on this at the time, so back to the rating I felt it deserved in the first place. Very charming game for sure.
I still have to finally get around to playing this. If Atsuma gives it a 4/5 it must be good
Let's just ignore that one time I rated Adam's Venture a 4/5, I wish I could have whatever I was smoking that day again. But yeah, I tend to be stricter now,
but never (or at least rarely) unfair.
RUBIN rating, it's a very solid game overall for sure but lacking that special something that makes a fantastic game imo. The Overworld portion I preferred to the core
levels, though some of those were very good, most didn't stand out for me. The grind wasn't as painful as I thought it might be at the end for the tonics but still a bit

annoying that it's there anyway, I suppose. OST is lacklustre imo, most of them, I won't remember in future but gameplay is mostly solid which is most important.
Seems decent enough but similar criticism to the first Yooka game I have seen is that it just lacks a special *something*. good you enjoyed it overall
and oh noes, Atsuma acknowledges there *is* a grind. Given that it apparently doesn't exist in Trials Rising it must be awful
This game looks so much more interesting to me than the first so I'll probably pick it up. Interesting to see that you found the OST lacklustre, I was watching a review..
..where they played small clips of the OST to demonstrate it and I though there were some really great tracks in there and was also quite varied.
Oh, it's not a bad OST but it's mostly unmemorable, I can recall a lot of the DKC tracks to this day but only like 3 from this game. It's more of a complimentary OST than
a standout one.
Compare this game's OST to something like Yoshi's Woolly World and that gives you an idea of what I mean.
Also, re: grind: if you play Trials how most people play Trials, you wouldn't have a problem, MR. Casual. Here, though, you have to play unnaturally to avoid it
Joking aside, it is actually quite a difference between the 2.
Yoshi's Woolly World's OST was incredible. Probably my favourite from recent memory.
I think the problem with Yooka Laylee (and other modern Rare games) is that the music is orchestral. It kind of loses that charm that old school Rare music had.
Congrats on the plat! I'm hoping for the first one on Plus at some stage so I can give it a try :)
Did you enjoy it? Good classic platformer?
Overall, yes, a very good Platformer, though I think I'd say I preferred the old DKC games. Granted, this one is way more advanced and there are genuinely cool ideas
here (I liked the Overworld more than the levels) and the last level is also pretty good too. Few annoyances dotted through it that stop me giving it a top-end rating
Also, the OST for the most part was lacklustre imo, I liked some of the nods to their earlier games, though.
Oooo..So this is a goodie then?
I never found the lego games as much fun as making actual lego swords and hitting your brother with them.

Not a fan of LEGO games but the Harry Potter ones were good fun I'm the opposite though Liquid I never liked toys, even as a kid as I had no imagination
Gonna get this one for co-op with the girlfriend when I see the complete edition at a low enough price, good to see it's worth it
This one is a good one! The story and atmosphere are fun, and the levels aren't overly long. You start out with a custom character too, which is engaging :)
The post-game cleanup isn't bad at all for the levels, but definitely straddles the line between enough and too much for the hub but not like the slog that was Marvel 2
The character missions in the hub are actually interesting for the most part, and I'm super excited to see more diversity in the goons and hostile mobs
There are checkpoint races and the "gliding" ones can be annoying: my first playthrough I failed a lot at those, but the second time I nailed them first try every time
Some of the button mapping is strange but nowhere near as cumbersome as Marvel 2. But honestly, I've always liked villains more than heroes anyway
^ SNAP! I find myself empathising with a well written Villain (not the destory everything types) more than a boring hero. Does this make us bad ppl Biff?
I was never really into LEGO as objects, but I've enjoyed most of the games a lot! The Harry Potters are right up there with Star Wars 1&2 for me. :D
I bought the EU complete edition on sale for 29,99 euro fairly recently and it was even on sale again since: so I hope you can also grab it on sale, Helix
Slayer, I think it means the opposite: having empathy for those who on the surface appear to be less deserving of it surely can't mean we're bad people! :P
