I am not your typical gamer.
I am now 52 (08/2017), and have been playing since video games existed.
The basic black and white tennis was my first video game (on a black and white TV) !
My first work computer had a hard drive of, hold on to your chair, 24 Mb !!!
My basic MS Excel files are bigger than this now, PMSL.
Now, I work on 2 screens on spread-sheet that count their columns and rows in 1000s.
Now I play on Xbox with people from Australia, Japan, USA, Brasil, France, Germany all at the same time whilst talking to them.
Now I play on PS4 games that seem more real than the world around me (Horizon Zero Dawn).
Now I play on my home computer with a russian friend, whilst it is streaming music or video on another screen.
I knew a time where internet was not even a word.
I knew a time where mobile phone was a thing of the future.
Now, in my household, all the stuff described above can happen at the same time.
Availability of the information and technology is phenomenal.
Yet, the world is not better for much....
But I'll keep on playing.
I have had this account for a long time now.
I kept being tempted by games video that showed good visuals, different gameplays,
or just games of my younger days.
On top of that the forever-existing sales made me spend a lot of money along the years,
without real time to play the games purchased.
I am back, slowly but surely "working" my way through this backlog, and discovering some gems.
