I would like to think the TA version will get a fair few improvements before it is rolled out on TT and TSA. The goal is admirable but it isn't quite right at the moment.
The staggered Friend Feed is the bit that I dislike most. I prefer the uniform friend feed we hve on here

This talk about TA confuses me, I clicked the link to that site and it looks the same? Do you have to be logged in to see it? Do I have a bug? It's unchanged to me.
There are differences on the main page but nothing too drastic. The main changes are to friend feeds and navigating the site so it is more noticeable if you are logged in
Dont wprry, you are 100% right, the new page looks horrible. dunno what they tried to do but it just didnt worked out lol.
I have been tempted to get this, but the idea of playing a game like Metal Slug with frame rate issues just puts me right off
It's a jam packed bundle at least. I didn't encounter too many frame rate issues but I got the native 60Hz NTSC version.
Unless there's an issue with the port itself?
Yeah it's an issue with the port itself. I enjoy Metal Slug as a series but have held off buying this due to that
Ah that sucks. I honestly have no frame of reference so would have been none the wiser.
First impressions of AI: Somnium Files? it's on my radar and wishlist

Thanks guys. I'm liking it so far Slayer. It's from the Zero Escape guy so it can be pretty dark. But I think it's more comedic than those games, kinda like Steins;Gate..
how it balances the comedy with serious and intense moments. The characters are great and there's 999-like puzzle sequences with the "somnium" diving.
Also the game is 100% voiced in English which is pretty rare for visual novel like games. And the voice cast is top tier. Certainly feels like a high quality localisation
The entire world is static. Nothing has any physics to it and enemies can't be rag-doll'd around the place. Makes the world feel less real and interactive to me.
Also the slow-down time feature is nothing compared to VATs. You can't target body parts and all it seems to do is slow down time and that's it.

Apart from that it feels way more polished compared to a Fallout game though.
I like the game but it feels like for a game imitating Fallout it really takes a few steps back at the same time. Damn shame because the base game there is great.
I should be on it later to try it out. Not sure how I will find it as i'm not a fan of Fallout particularly. So far I have heard one of the major criticisms is how
compact the worlds are, which (as an Open world hater) strikes me as a good thing, but I will need to wait until I play to form an opinion
I preferred Fallout 3 to Fallout 4, but I never played New Vegas, and I prefer Fallout 3 to the Elder Scrolls broadly speaking though so at least there is that
Tekken 7 is awesome, one of the best fighting games released in the last 10 years, but the lack of single player content and terrible story brings the score down.
5/5 for a fighting games but 2/5 for single player content.

Yeah, fluid Tekken combat. The story style is clearly taking from MK but the Tekken lore doesn't quite fit in well to that structure, plus I have liked some of the
weirder modes Tekken has done in the past. That being said, I would say this is the best Tekken game overall and a great introduction to fighting games for people, but at
the end of the day there is only so good Tekken can get when there are better fighting games out there. If the series ended at 7 it would be a high note
It will be interesting to see what happens with Tekken 8. Honestly if they just keep the Tekken 7 formula and add a great SP then I'd be really happy.
Are you perhaps referring to Tekken 6's beat em up mode Slayer? I really enjoyed that one lol. T7 just feels kinda bare bones...
Outside of the story (which has really short/inconsequential character episodes), there isn't much to do... except treasure battle and customising your character.
In my opinion Soul Calibur still reigns king in the single player department, particularly SC2 and SC6.
Yeah Tekken 6 had the beat 'em up story mode and I am pretty sure one of the earlier ones had a decent range of SP stuff to do as well. Tag Tournament maybe.
As for single player in fighting games. I love a good single player mode as I usually don't bother much with vs or online outside playing with friends. Not played SC6,
but SC2's Weapon Master mode is right up there with some of the best single player on offer for the genre. The Smash Bros series is also good for single player content,
plus I think MK is more suited to the cinematic story formula Tekken 7 has, though I am not overly fond of the comabt in MK the story mode is well done
In terms of shear fluid and satisfying gameplay, Guilty Gear, Garou MoW, SFIII etc about as good as it gets IMO, though none of those have much in the way of SP
You'll love SCVI Slayer. The SP content is awesome. I'd argue the soul chronicle is better than SC2's weapon master mode.
That alone would've been enough but then they also added 20+ hours of story content for all the characters.
I love GG and 3rd Strike but yeah those games are almost exclusively played with friends. I don't think I've ever touched the SP content in BlazBlue or GG lol.
