What’s up gamers? I didn’t get off to the hot streak that I was hoping for, I was projecting to have RE0 complete by the end of January, RE by the end of February, RE2 by March so I would be ready for RE3 come April. I still have plenty of time to hit this mark I just find myself behind my initial plan.
This always happens with me and gaming as it takes a back seat to everything else in my life so this should come as no surprise. So the big question is how far along am I with RE0.
First off this is my least favorite of the numbered RE games. The story is decent and the character development throughout is great but the zapping system absolutely drives me crazy! Partner commands should be easier than going to the inventory screen, and lastly dropping items wherever without a chest. I actually like that but haven’t played this one enough to be proficient and knowledgeable on where to leave what and when to do so.
I just started RE0 in January for the PS4 and made quick work of the train. After a bit of frustration with the zapping system I was able to blow through it and save my game. I then got to the Facility and fill like I’ve taken stupid pills. I am as lost as lost can be in this place and I looked back on how I could navigate the train so well but nothing else. The answer: I complete RE0 on the GameCube back in 2002 and since then I have only completed the train on the 360 and the Xbox One. So it’s kind of understandable why I can blow through the train but then get stumped.
I’ve decided to break out my old hard copy of Brady’s Guide for the game. Should help me in picking up the pace and wrapping up the campaign. After jumping back into the Training Facility I was able to move through and defeat the Centurion. That was the last time I played and all that I have done in the month of January. I’m hoping to get this finished soon and by the end of the month be finished with this and Jill’s walk through on RE.
So wish me luck, and follow me on Twitter @9180_ENT for entertainment stuff or @JAdamGilman for things going on in my life. Here’s to having a great year of gaming!
