What’s up gamers? It’s me J. Adam and I bet you’re wondering why my blog is over a week late. Well... I’ve been busy. I know my blog is award winning so just remember... good thinks come to those who wait. Anyways...
Let’s talk gaming! I didn’t play nothing in March (double negative). My birthday was on the 1st and I was gifted a Nintendo Switch, a Cobra Kai shirt, and Battle Cat. The Switch was a terrible idea as that is the only thing I have played in my free time. The whole family is loving it and I believe my youngest Youngling is turning into a GamerChick! I’m so proud.
So... what have I done this month?
My daughter does competitive cheer and it’s still in full swing with two more competitions in the month of March. We spent sometime in Knoxville, TN. They went up against one other team in this one and it was the team that won in Sevierville last month. Guess what? That team won again.
The following week we had Spring Break but couldn’t go anywhere until Thursday due to cheer practice. So come Thursday morning we dropped the kids off with my parents and went to Charleston, SC for the day. We started out at Folly Beach and then spent the evening taking in the city.
The next day we drove to Covington, GA and found some new filming locations for The Vampire Diaries that we hadn’t visited on previous trips. After a bite to eat at the Mystic Grill we hit up Conyers, GA and visited some of the sites from The Originals. We finished up the night in Atlanta, GA checking out a few filming locations of a couple of Marvel movies and another site for TVD.
Next up was Atlanta, GA. What a sh!t hole! If you live there or love this city then I applaud you. My entire time there I felt I was constantly looking over my shoulder especially on the 2nd day when word was traveling that some guy tried to entice a man and his two cheer daughters to get in his van. I’ve always hated driving through there but staying there was even worse for me.
My parents met us here for my daughter’s competition. It was a two day competition and out of seven teams the girl’s won 1st place and earned their National Champions jacket and medal. They went up against six other teams and did an amazing job. This earned them a spot to compete in Orlando, FL come the end of April.
Other than travel we did what we normally do and that’s watch movies and television. I finished watching The Clone Wars, we made it a few episodes into Yellowstone Season 3, we are caught up on The Falcon and Winter Soldier, and I started watching Game of Thrones again. As far as movies go I watch the Snyder Cut of Justice League which I enjoyed more than Whedon’s final product and my daughter and I absolutely love Godzilla vs. Kong, it’s a must watch!
What are my 3 games for April? I don’t know and I’m not sure how I’m going to approach it but what I do know is this.
I got my copy of Gran Turismo Sport back from my brother in law and I plan on going back to work on earning gold in all the driving school challenges. I’m currently about 1/2 way through this. I also plan on working towards the drift trophies.
Resident Evil 8 releases in May. I’ve always claimed to be this huge RE geek that knows the lore, beat every game, and know every secret. Well... I can’t boast this claim with RE VII so I’m going to ensure that I complete it on PS4 before RE VIII releases.
Other than that I’m not sure what the month might have in store for me. I just hope that I actually make a bit more time for my PS4 this month.
This month is filled with more cheer competitions, my oldest daughter has prom in Texas, my youngest daughter’s birthday, and my dad’s death day. Hopefully with all this going on I will have a more productive month of gaming.
