There were issues over the weekend. Looks like they are back in action. There will be a bit of a backlog to get through though, so may be a bit slow to scan you

Whilst many consumers are ass-hats to developers, the same can be said of any industry. Respawn handled this poorly by responding like that on Reddit. Even though it is
100% true that basically any industry has bad customers, it is simply bad PR to state that outright. Not only that, but the customers who actually aren't a problem read
that and assume you are talking about them. As for the Freeloader comment, way to give the mob a soundbite . After he said Freeloader he said (and we love that)
but anyone used to dealing with the public should be well aware that (and we love that) will be removed and they will cling to the world "Freeloader" which is 100%
accurate and not a bad thing, but a word that can easily be twisted to have negative connotations.
All in all, I don't have a problem with the Iron Crown stuff, sure I can see ways it can be improved but overall it's not bad. Respawn's response has not been handled
well though and now they will likely receive quite a bit of backlash for these reddit posts which are bad for PR
I prefer to watch the Laymen take. Same thing, but with a bit more comedy rather than the straight talking of Yong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1x-9-n5URU
Just watched the Laymen Gaming one and they are much more in line with my views than Yong Yea or Jim Sterling. I basically agree with what they said in the video.
Summary - F2P game so needs cosmetics to be profitable. Respawn dun goofed in their Reddit posts.
sure but that doesnt excuse them to put 200 dollars on a skin. thats absurd. some skins costs 18 dollars. you cant justify those prizes so the developers can make profit
apex legends is backed by ea. they already made a ton of cash. look at a game like warframe which is also f2p, but they dont have absurd cosmetics
AFAIK in Warframe you can straight up buy better weapons, which makes its model worse than Apex IMO as Apex is purely cosmetic. I don't have an issue with
Warframe's model, because it is a Co-op game, but I'd take Apex model over it for sure. Warframe is still much better than games that are Pay to win and competitive
as yong put it so nicely: ea’s latest scumbag move

They do provide Apex Legends free though, and the Axe, intro and quip are purely cosmetic. What is your view on Free to Play game monetisation? I know a lot of people who
really hate when companies charge £50 for a game, just to charge more for lootboxes (thinking Anthem, Black Ops 4, Overwatch etc) but even those people tend to be okay
with Fortnite, Apex, League of Legends etc charging, as they are free to play for a low barrier to entry and high player count, but need to make money from the game
IMO, they should allow you to earn all of those if you are a dedicated player. Not only 2 and force you to pay for the rest
I really dont understand why ppl pay money for cosmetics, they dont add anything to the game so why buy them?
Is it just to show off? because when i see ppl using them i dont think wow you look so cool, i think thats sad that you paid all that money for a cosmetic.
From what I have watched, a big issue with cosmetics is bullying in schools. If you just have the base skins, you get bullied apparently. So there is pressure there
@KF - Yeah I also prefer unlockables through play (especially if there is a level of challenge involved) but know a lot of people just prefer to buy them outright.
@Liquid - I pretty much agree here as well, I don't exactly think it is sad, but it is not impressive or cool and I certainly wouldn't be spending my own money that way!
As for the bullying aspect, that strikes me as bad parenting and poor life choices. Surely if you are young enough to be getting bullied for in game cosmetics, that means
you are either using your parents money or your own very limited money. It never has been and never will be a good idea to give bullies what they want, so by your parents
spending £100 for you to get the axe in Apex so you don't get bullied, they are signalling to you that you stop bullies by giving them what they want, so when they ask
for you lunch money, you should give them it. When they want you start smoking, have sex with them, etc, you should do it. Seems like a recipe for disaster IMO.
If the kid is using their own pocket money or money from a job, ofc they can spend it on whatever they want but I would say pacifying bullies is a poor life choice.
On the other hand, nowadays people get bullied for not having in-game cosmetics, years ago playing games at all was seen as weird. oh how the world has changed
sure apex legends is free but putting an item behind 24 lootboxes which you have to buy to even get the option to buy the axe for an additional 35 dollars is just wrong
funny enough there will be people stupid enough to do that though
Slayer - https://youtu.be/7S-DGTBZU14?t=1563 Link to where I learned about it. IMO, the whole video is worth a watch if you have an interest on the subject
KF - Watched the whole vid thanks for the link. I also watch all of the Yong Yea vids Ulven posts. It's certainly an interesting topic. At the end of the day, society is
driven by incentive structures (which I am utterly obsessed with) and I think over the next 10-20 years crafting incentive structures is going to become highly efficient
Superb game, just the R&D stuff is a bit to much . I'll be done soon.
How do you feel about it, I heard it takes many playthroughs and have always been put off doing the trophies for that reason
i never really liked dishonored for some reason. i love stealth games but dishonored just doesnt click with me

its an easy plat. a little challenging 100%
I had the same thing, it just didn't click for me either. I think it only takes 2 playthroughs but I felt like I was done with it after the first.
I really enjoyed it, until I played the Trials DLC. Those were so luck based and horrible it killed the enjoyment of the game. No interest in the sequel because of it
If you shaved your head you'd look like Brad Friedel

*whistles* beautiful bastard.
I always knew you were a dog!
I only have 2 pics of me, both of which are 1) Very old pics 2) not pics of just me
But to picture me, imagine the default male character in any video game ever. I am a person of average height and build, with short dark hair in no particular style, no
jewellery, facial hair, glasses, tattoos etc
Must be easy to make yourself in a game then if you're that default xD. I don't have pictures of myself, I have a heavily edited one on Twitter and that's all.
nice pics @blooddog and @scott
