Red Dead Revitalised
I never expected to actually be able to get it, but the platinum for Red Dead Redemption is now officially obtainable for me as I've finally got every trophy on multiplayer, (bar one, that can be achieved on my own in private matches, it'll just take a lot of time). The trophies that require consecutive wins, I actually have them now; that means the single player needs to be tackled as I have none of the single player trophies having originally played the game on Xbox 360.
It's going to be a bit of a grind though, there's apparently loads of glitches in Red Deads multiplayer but literally none of them are working for me. The one with the dead bodies, they're not spawning. The one where it auto-completes hideouts, won't trigger. It's almost as if Rockstar have decided to actually clean up the multiplayer which seems unlikely, but I can hardly complain about such things.
As for other trophy hunting. I've recently downloaded the Sly Trilogy on Vita and I have Sly 4: Thieves In Time physically on Vita. Combined with the Ratchet & Clank and the Jak & Daxter games, that's effectively 10 platinums sitting there that I've been told are relatively easy and they're all arguably 3D platformers or at least have 3D platforming elements; so in theory they're games I should enjoy getting... something to consider at least.
On PS4 I recently downloaded Hollow Knight, which I'm looking forward to getting into. Another generally hard 2D platformer with a very cool style to it. I could see myself wanting the platinum in this. At the time of writing it's not yet been achieved by anyone so it's value is baseline, but I suspect it'll settle at around the 500-600 TT Points mark; which would be awesome.
With August being a particularly bad month for me, both for trophy hunting and in general; I'm glad to see that September has recovered, and I'm back to over 4000 TT Points per month. With 10 platinums under my belt I'd like to focus on some harder games and building up my TT Score.
I'm almost at the 40,000 mark score wise. I might even hit it before the end of the month; it depends on if I bother to finish Life Is Strange: Before The Storm this month really... as I'm working on the multiplayer trophies for both Red Dead Redemption (that last one will take some grinding as I'm level 37 and I need to be level 50; and without those glitches, that means playing the hideouts over and over but it'll be good practice for the single player), and The Last Of Us Remastered, which still has that one trophy for reaching week 12; definitely doable but a major time sink. I want them sorted before the end of October, that's for sure. With both games having a sequel coming out I want their platinums only blocked by single player stuff before those games release if I can help it.
I am tempted to give the Assassin's Creed franchise a good look over. I recently got Assassin's Creed Origins, which I've yet to play. I've heard great things about it. But there's a big Ubisoft sale going on at the moment on the UK PSN store; with loads of games, including both Watch_Dogs and most of the Assassin's Creed games being available. I played the very first Assassin's Creed back in the day, (that game even pre-dates trophies), and wasn't overly impressed but I wonder if it's worth revisiting the franchise now and seeing if anything about it appeals. I suspect Origins will as it's gone more traditionally open world RPG, but the others... who knows.
I did have a friend try to push me into giving Bloodborne a second chance. I'm not sure yet... I might do, if only so I can say, "No, I gave the game 4 fucking hours of my time to try and draw me in. It failed, so it's shit". Apparently I missed some of the tutorial elements. I think they where likely badly arranged and organised, and as such I missed them because the game is shit. I have been playing games for almost 30 years after all. If I miss something in your game, it's not my fault, it's yours. I know how to play games. If I can't figure something out intuitively, what chance do non-gamers, casual gamers, or hell, anyone under the age of 20; have? None I'd say. At least that's how I see it.
Regardless, I have a decent level of focus now playing these multiplayer games. I know what I'm hoping to achieve short term. I may even slow down in True Trophy gains as I work on these harder games, doing bits of trophies but not actually popping anything. But it's all necessary if I want to have some good respectable trophies; not just easy fodder.
