Just finished the story. The game is a cross between Dark Souls and Tomb Raider. Very enjoyable with some great set pieces. Story is good and the ending is awesome!
If your a Star Wars fan or you like adventure games then its highly recommended.
Felt like I was harsh on this at the time, so back to the rating I felt it deserved in the first place. Very charming game for sure.
RUBIN rating, it's a very solid game overall for sure but lacking that special something that makes a fantastic game imo. The Overworld portion I preferred to the core
levels, though some of those were very good, most didn't stand out for me. The grind wasn't as painful as I thought it might be at the end for the tonics but still a bit

annoying that it's there anyway, I suppose. OST is lacklustre imo, most of them, I won't remember in future but gameplay is mostly solid which is most important.
Seems decent enough but similar criticism to the first Yooka game I have seen is that it just lacks a special *something*. good you enjoyed it overall
and oh noes, Atsuma acknowledges there *is* a grind. Given that it apparently doesn't exist in Trials Rising it must be awful
This game looks so much more interesting to me than the first so I'll probably pick it up. Interesting to see that you found the OST lacklustre, I was watching a review..
..where they played small clips of the OST to demonstrate it and I though there were some really great tracks in there and was also quite varied.
Congrats on the plat! I'm hoping for the first one on Plus at some stage so I can give it a try :)
Did you enjoy it? Good classic platformer?

Overall, yes, a very good Platformer, though I think I'd say I preferred the old DKC games. Granted, this one is way more advanced and there are genuinely cool ideas
here (I liked the Overworld more than the levels) and the last level is also pretty good too. Few annoyances dotted through it that stop me giving it a top-end rating
Also, the OST for the most part was lacklustre imo, I liked some of the nods to their earlier games, though.

3/4 of the way there
How is it? I have a lot to get through so I'm trying not to throw cash around, but I either want this to be my next adventure, or Age of Wonders.
Only played a bit so far but first thoughts are it reminds me of the game 'The Order: 1886' good graphics but linear.
I know its supposed to be metroidvania in that there are places i cant access without certain abilities but the planets so far dont seem that big.
Ill let you know after ive played a bit more of it.
i'm really liking it.
Yea, after playing a bit more of it i can really see the dark souls vibe they added. After the first couple of missions the planets seem to be bigger with more paths
Can you force grip yourself?
Force grip is only used by the Dark Side :P
Wasn't bad, wasn't amazing. Felt like it was a prologue to a bigger game. Sure, it had a lot to do, but the story itself is so short, and gets wrapped up way too quick.
Over before you know it
I need to get basck to it. I am still on the first planet. So it far it strieks me as better than FO4 and TES series at least
Only got Supernova to do and I'm struggling to want to do it, even though it's a platinum
