When I first began playing this game, I was caught off guard by the initial set up. Instead immediately being able to dive right into the single player campaign, the game is heavily geared towards co-op play...on and offline. You can either create your own game session or jump in the middle of someone elses. Its always pretty cool to start from the beginning of the game on your own and have random people join in along the way. There are only just 2 major things that bug me about this game: The constant lag in online play and having infinate amount of lives. The lag issue speaks for itself and mostly results in someone being unintentionally kickout of the session. The infinate amount of lives/continues completely takes the challenge out of the game. It gives you no real reason to fight to stay alive or to not spam the hell out of your character's mutant powers! I'm not saying that once everyone dies or runs out of continues, you should start from the very beginning (like the arcade) but at least from the beginning or half way through the level if you made it to that point.

    My Breakdown:

    What's Good:

    - X-Men: The Arcade game FINALLY on home consoles!
    - Translation errors gives the game its original charm
    - Online co-op can be very satisfying
    - High replay value

    What's Not-So-Good:

    - Not much middle ground with this one

    What's Bad:

    - The terrible lag that can result in players being booted out of a session
    - Infinate lives cheapens the game's ability to be a challenge

In all, this is a great long awaited port to home consoles but the lagging issues and overall lack of difficulty can ruin the experience for many players.
