Warframe is a ambitious cooperative third person shooter. It's intense fast paced combat offers numerous ways to play. Each frame (Class) will allow you to approach the game differently whether you prefer shooters, stealth or melee combat mechanics. Fan's of MMO's and dungeon crawlers will also feel right at home since at it's core Warframe is a long grind requiring plenty of time and patience. Crafting and upgrading items and skills is a necessity and will either be a labor of love or the main reason this game might not be for you.

Nothing about the game itself would suggest that it's a free to play title and it might even be the best one available on any console right now. It plays great, looks great and has a easy to use interface. In truth you lose nothing by giving it a try and in my opinion this is one of the best exclusives this gen. Microtransactions are a big part of the game but not essential if your willing to grind out resources and blueprints. That being said you might find yourself forsaking retail games for this all-together so spending 10$ for a new character or weapon will be a obvious purchase.

    Let's take a closer look:

Graphics: 8/10 - The character models and weapons look great. The environments range from beautifully rendered open areas to bland maze-like enclosed spaces.

Sound: 7/10 - The sound quality is above average but nothing about it stands out. Lotus will be your main point of contact on missions and she is voiced competently.

Gameplay: 9/10 - Whether your running a assault rifle, bow or sword the combat is first rate. Warframe is at it's absolute best during a difficult boss fight or survival mission.

Replayability: 9/10 - With endless ways to play and tons of mission types you will have no trouble finding something to do.

    Overall: 8.5/10
