You awake to find yourself in a dark room. Welcome to the Private Bathroom. Don't worry about exploring too much right now. You won't be alive for long. Walk forward for a cutscene. What happened to your eye? Walk further into the room and click on the padlock on the right side of the cupboard and put in the code 1235 from top to bottom. This adds the Padlock to your inventory. Open the cupboard and get the Wrench, examine the screw bit in the middle to adjust the head so it’s open, then use the Wrench on the door to unlock your first trophy.

Once you're in the corridor, walk into the darkness to your left, try to find a light switch, fail and die to unlock your second trophy. Bad news, though - you're going to have to start again.

You awake to find yourself in a dark room. Welcome to the Private Bathroom again. Open the locker this time to find William’s Diary 03 (Dedication 1 of 8). Click on the padlock on the right side of the cupboard and put in the code 1235 from top to bottom. This adds the Padlock to your inventory. Open the cupboard and get the Wrench, examine the screw bit in the middle to adjust the head so it’s open, then use the Wrench on the door again. Sweet freedom this time, I promise. Nothing else creepy about this place.

You're now in the East Wing Corridor. So go around the corner to your right to find a Lighter in a sweet little doll's hand. Go ahead and equip it and you can now safely head down the corridor. Maybe you'll find a light switch this time?

Head down and take the first left into the Waiting Room. In here, you can pick up your first ammo of the game with some Nails sitting on a bench. Head around to the right, go through the door and you'll be in the Examination Room. This is the first safe room of the game. Get the Plastic Heart Part (Left) from the organ transplant box on the bench. There's also Morphine (basic healing item) in the cabinet to your right as you come in and a Recording Tape on some drawers at the back of the room. I’ll just refer to these as Tapes from now on. Interact with the tape recorder, use your Tape and push the record button now if you like to save your game and unlock your next trophy. If you want to wait until later there's plenty of chances depending on how brave you feel.

Go back out to the East Wing Corridor, keep going around to your left and you’ll find Maria’s Diary A (Love 1 of 8) on a desk to your left. You should find the E-F1 Map on the bannister just down from it. If you're anything like me and have no sense of direction, these will be vital in the beginning.

Head down the stairs at the end of the corridor and around underneath them to find some Nails on a wheelchair and Hex Socket in a locker. Head through the door down here to get to the Basement East.

Walk forward and...what was that? Probably nothing. Head down the corridor to your left for a cutscene and we'll meet our first enemy. This is Wheelchair, probably one of the easiest enemies to fight. Not right now though-- we haven't got a weapon! Turn and run to the end of the corridor. Go through the door on your right to find yourself in the X-Ray Room.

Thankfully it doesn't seem like he can open doors so you're safe in here. Walk forward and talk to the priest and you'll get your first weapon, the Nailer. Once you're done talking to him (he seems friendly) go behind him and pick up some more Nails then go to the back of the room to find a Crowbar on some boxes. Two weapons in one room, the game is spoiling us.

Head towards the screen and down the dark hall with your lighter still equipped, you'll find Maria’s Diary B (Love 2 of 8) on a cart to your right and a Morphine at the end of the corridor past the creepy suits. Use your newly acquired Crowbar on the boards blocking the door down here and you'll be in the Generator Room.

Open the locker on your right to find some Nails. Head towards the screen, up the stairs to your left and around you should find the Basement Map on your way around to a Valve. Now turn around and head back down and you should find an electric generator panel. Go ahead and open it up and use the valve on the bottom left pipe, then turn the first four valves from left to right and your power should read 11. Go all the way back around to where you found the valve and interact with the panel, push the start button to power up the generator and unlock your next trophy.

Feeling brave? Good, now head through the door down here and prepare for a fight.

Well here's Wheelchair again. If you want to kill him you're going to need ten shots from your nailer. If you're not feeling brave after all, you can lure him down one side of the stairs and leg it up the other side and back around to the Waiting Room.

Now unfortunately there's two more new enemies in here, meet the Crawler. These guys can be quite annoying and you're going to be coming through here a few times so it's probably best if you deal with them now.

They take eight shots each from the nailer and this room sucks to fight in, but I believe in you! Watch for the auto aim locking you on to the one furthest away and if you feel they're getting too close you can back out the way you came in for a breather. Once you've survived that ordeal you can go back into the Examination Room for a save if you haven’t saved yet but your eventual destination is the Dentist Room on the left.

Bad news, there's another Crawler in here but it is possible to juke it as long as you watch out for his acid spray, or you can just kill it, it's up to you. In here you can find Morphine in the medicine cabinet and Nails in a cupboard in an alcove. To the left of the cupboard William’s Diary 01 (Dedication 2 of 8) is on some drawers and the Plastic Heart Part (Right) in the organ transplant container on the dentist chair.

Go back out and through the Waiting Room. Back out into the East Wing Corridor just up to your left around the corner is the door to the Maternity Ward, go ahead and pop in. On the left side of the room you should see a flashing lantern on the wall, if you interact with this it'll open a secret hatch on the other side of the room. Pick up the Nails on the bed next to the hatch and go down.

You should see a Tape towards the camera so grab that. Simple puzzle here, just use your Lighter to light the candle on each side of the mirror and head on through. Did you jump? No, me neither. Once you're through the mirror, head up the ladder.

There's a Crawler hiding in here now so do with him what you will. You can also find a Morphine in a cabinet and Nails on a bedside table. You should see a baby doll with it's chest open on one of the beds so go over and say hello. In your inventory combine both parts of the heart you found earlier then use it on the doll. Once that's done, head back to the other room, back through the mirror and back up the ladder.

Now back in the real world I guess, in the same corner the baby doll was in the upside down, there should be a human body wired up. Push the switch on the right then pull the lever to get T Handle. Go back into the hall and back to the Waiting Room, open your inventory and combine the T Handle with the Hex Socket to get Hex Socket (w/Handle). Interact with the shutter door on the far side of the room and use it to open the path to the Main Hall.
