Our next stop is the city of Flanoir, which sits in the middle of the icy continent to the north-east. There are a few new enemies outside the city to defeat first. The Ice Spiders can drop Blue Quartz, which we'll get in the next dungeon as well. The important monster here is the Penguinist. It drops the Penguinist Quill, an item we need three of before we go to the next dungeon.

Start by naming the dog, then talk to the man kneeling by the building off to the right. This is Abyssion, the main NPC for the Devil's Arms quest. Next, take the stairs down to the east. A man here will ask you about the Celsius' Tear, and tell you to bring three Penguinist Quills to the old man at the accessory shop. Take the path north past Abyssion to the next screen.

The building to the left is the weapon and armor shop, and while they are supposed to do customization, it isn't running yet. Buy an Elder Cloak, but leave everything else. Make sure you buy it, as it is only available for a limited amount of time. Exit this building, take the stairs up to the next level, and enter the building here to find the accessory shop. You don't need to buy anything here. Speak to the old man to get a pair of Penguinist Gloves.

Leave the shop and head up the stairs to find the church. In the rear left corner is the Wonder Chef! He teaches you the Quiche recipe. Oh my! Leave the church, head back one screen and down the stairs, then take the eastern exit. You'll find the second dog next to the food vendor. Pick up a Flanoir Potion and whatever food you need. Nothing is new here. You can find the doctor's office on this screen as well, so remember where it is. We'll be coming back here later for some very important scenes.

When you're done you can leave Flanoir and head south to the Ice Temple.

GIGOLO: FLANOIR

As you enter there is an older woman standing nearby talking to an older man. Go into the Inn and speak with the waitress, then go upstairs and speak with a maid. There's another maid in the rear room. Outside the inn, take the stairs down to the east and speak with the child, then go north to the next screen. The second person in line is a woman, and there is a young girl to the left of the office.

Go west to the next screen, speak to the woman in pink right away. Continue up the stairs to the next area, speaking to the little girl before entering the church. Inside is a woman walking around, and a priestess behind the podium.

This is your last chance to go to Ozette and do anything there. The important things are naming the dogs and talking to women as Zelos. You should have done them already, but if not, DO THEM NOW. GO DO IT.

Ice Warriors drop Blue Quartz, which is useful. Other than that, there are no important item drops from monsters here.

Wrap around the snow drifts to the right to find a Defenser and an Ancient Robe in the chests, then head further in hugging the west wall for a Mythril Shield. There is a cave to the northeast that leads into the temple proper.

Use the ring pedestal and proceed further in, following the path up to an exit. You get three more chests right along this path. They hold an Ice Coffin, a Mythril Gauntlet, and a Mythril Armor. Outside, go south and use the Sorcerer's Ring on some dripping ice to bridge the small gap. Follow this path and back into the temple for a chest holding an EX Gem Lv2, and then examine the flower on the ledge to get a Celsius' Tear.

Return to the main area and cross the ice bridge. The path leads you through a narrow passageway and down to a lake. Freeze the water off to the east, then use the block to make a bridge across the water. At the far west end you can freeze the water with the Celsius' Tear, which lets you get across to the other side. But we want the chest first, so go stand where the ice block you made sat and follow these directions:

This gets you the chest with the Rosemary.

There are three places to walk back out onto the ice from here. Choose the southern one and follow these directions:

Open the chest here for an EX Gem Lv3 then head forward. You need to rotate the statues here to match how they faced back out on the ice lake. Turn the northern statue to face west, the eastern statute to face south, and the southern statue to face east. The door should now open. You'll need Sheena in the party, as well as ice resistant gear like Penguinist Quills on the whole team. Fire works well on the upcoming boss, so bring in Genis or Zelos. Equip Sheena with the Card of Fire as well.

Boss: Celsius & Fenrir

Drops: Spirit Symbol, Blue Quartz

With Fire attacks and Ice protection, this battle should go fairly smoothly. You should have plenty of Red Quartz, so spare one or two for your melee fighters.

Celsius likes to cast Freeze Lancer a lot, so be prepared to use Magic Guard or try to interrupt. Taking out Fenrir first is a good option, as he can interrupt your own casters pretty frequently.

The Sapphire is unlocked after battle, as are Sheena's Ice techs.

With Celsius defeated and bound, you can leave the temple. Upon doing so, you'll be redirected to Ozette.

OZETTE/ALTESSA'S HOUSE

Watch the scenes, then head into Presea's house. There is a strange carving of a bear that wasn't there before...oh! It's the Wonder Chef! Also watch some new skits if you'd like. Head over to Altessa's House afterwards for plenty of scenes. One of them has a chance to change affection.

Raine is gone (but not for long). Zelos and Regal are the only other characters with healing techs, so put one or both of them in your party. Your next destination is Altamira, which is the island directly southeast of Altessa's House. There is one new monster to fight, the Gentleman. It can only be found from fighting the large enemies, specifically on the grass and not on the beach, and it is extremely rare. It took me approximately 25 minutes of grinding, but there are reports of it taking several hours for other people. All I can say is good luck.
