Peace Keepers Hub
When you land in the Peacekeepers world, run forward and release Titan (1/3). Run through to the end of the tunnel and kill the Gnorc dressed as a guard on your way. Be careful of the Gnorcs with the fancy blue coat and large bearskin hat as they will run to the nearest cannon and start firing at you. Continue to the left and kill the two guards firing cannons at each other. You will see the entrance to Dry Canyon and some chests on the left.
There’s an opportunity to get another skill point here. After you kill one of the smaller ‘grunt’ gnorcs, the remaining gnorcs will run into the stripy tents and hide. You have to scare six gnorcs into the tents for the skill point. Scare three gnorcs into the tents behind the entrance to Cliff Town and three into the tents in front of the balloonist for the skill point.
Kill the fancy blue coat gnorc firing the cannon next to the second set of hiding gnorcs. Then, flame attack the tent next to the cannon to cause the gnorc to turn around and show you his bum. Push the cannon by walking either side of the handle so that its facing the gnorc:
Then flame attack it to fire the cannon into the gnorc, earning:
Turn the cannon slightly to the right and shoot it into the metal chest to destroy it and reveal the gems inside and turn it slightly right a second time to destroy another metal chest. Finally, turn the cannon even further right and shoot it into the large rock with a target in it to allow you to move on through the level.
Flame the tents to destroy them, kill the gnorcs hiding inside and save the dragon Magnus (2/3) in front of the balloonist. Collect the gems to the side of the balloonist and pick up the extra life behind him. If you talk to the balloonist he will tell you to collect 1,200 gems before moving on to Magic Crafters.
Run down the narrow passageway to the right of the balloonist to pick up a few red gems and find the entrance to Ice Cavern. Run back up the tunnel and turn left to collect a few gems behind the entrance to Doctor Shemp. Use the platform you revealed earlier by destroying the target to hop over the canyon, then turn right to see the entrance to Night Flight as well as a few gems. Collect the gems then continue across the canyon, where you will see an egg thief in front of you. Chase the egg thief around the small pond (you can glide across it and flame attack the thief) and release Gunnar (3/3). You will find the key to the chest here as well.
Turn around and go back out of the small clearing into the main hub area. Collect a couple of green gems from a platform over the purple goo then climb the large archway rock. You will see a tunnel entrance slightly to the left of you; glide at the very top of your jump to reach it. Go down the tunnel and collect the gems and chest at the end of it. You should now have 200/200 gems and have completed the hub world.
Dry Canyon
The entrance to this level is on the left at the edge of the canyon when you first enter the open area of the hub.
When the level begins, collect the windmill gem on the right, run forward and charge attack the gnorc shooting at you. Collect the gems here and run around the pillar on the left, where you will find several gems and an egg thief. Continue onwards and you will see the dragon Conan (1/4) on the right. Save Conan and continue along the ground until you see a vulture in front of you. Charge attack the vulture for:
Continue forward and kill the other vulture and the large gnorc by flame attacking him, and then backtrack and go up the set of steps carved into the cliff on the right. Walk along the wall and then glide over to the area on the left. Go down the stairs, through the tunnel and out of the other side.
Kill the vultures and the large gnorc in front of you and go slightly left to collect the gems and kill the enemies at the edge of the cliff. Backtrack to the middle and go through the door in the building to save Ivor (2/4).
Leave the building and go left around the edge of the building. Kill the big gnorc and the vultures here and then go up the steps on the left. Collect the chests on top of the building, turn around so you are facing the tunnel you came down and glide over to the pillar to the left of the tunnel to collect an extra life and some gems. Backtrack up the steps to the top of the building and glide over to the rocks on the left. Flame attack the two boxes of fireworks (stand back to avoid taking damage) and collect the gems. You will see a ledge off in the distance in front of you with some gems and a chest; we’ll come back to that later when you have the key for the chest. Instead, turn right and go towards the buildings in front of you.
Drop down off the ledge, turn right and kill all the enemies and collect all the gems along the area in front of you until you come to a set of steps. These were the steps you did not go up earlier. To the right of the steps is the third dragon in this area; Boris (3/4).
Go up the ramp behind Boris and glide down to the ledge on the left. Go through the archway, up the tunnel and out on to the ledge. Glide to the left of the ledge and onto another platform around the corner. Go up the winding pathway to find the final dragon Maximos (4/4) as well as the key to the locked chest.
Glide over to the return home portal, kill the enemies and collect the gems in this area. Go down the pathway leading away from the return home portal and collect the gems along this area as well as the extra life. Backtrack to the return home area and glide away from the top of the building on to a small pillar to collect a windmill gem.
Now you have the key, you need to make your way over to the locked chest to collect the final gems in this level. Glide back over to level exit portal, cross the bridge and follow the area along until you come to a set of stone steps on the right. Climb the steps and glide over to the area with the towers on the right. Go back through the tunnel and climb the steps around the right side of the building, then glide back over to the platform where you set off the fireworks earlier on. Climb to the top of the steps and look towards the platform in the open area in the distance. Glide at the very top of your jump to make it over to the platform.
Unlock the chest and collect the gems. You should now have 400/400 gems and will have completed the level. Glide back over to the main area and make your way back through the level to the exit portal.
Cliff Town
The entrance to this level is found in front of one of the sets of gnorc tents.
When the level begins, turn around and collect the single chest behind you. Go forward out of the entrance and charge the metal caped sombrero-wearing enemy in front of you. Before crossing the bridge, walk down the narrow ledge either side of the building to find a few gems. As you cross the bridge, the large lady gnorc will slap the sombrero-wearing enemy and he will run at you. Charge through him and flame-attack the large gnorc, and then flame her cauldron to make a gem fly out of it. Do this for every cauldron you come across in this level to earn a gem.
Collect the gems on the ledge to the right of you and continue onwards along the path. Go around the building on the left to find a chest and then follow the path to the bridge. Kill the large lady gnorc to the right of the bridge and then go up the set of steps carved into the building behind her to find another few gems.
Drop down off the building and charge across the bridge to kill the sombrero-wearing enemies. You will find an egg thief running in circles around the building in front of you and Halvor (1/3) to save on your left.
Collect all the gems on the ground around the buildings and hop up the platform on the far right of the area to make your way up the winding path. Kill the enemies along the path as you wind your way up the cliff side. You will pass a heavy metal chest on your left as you go.
At the top of the path you will see the exit portal on the right within an alcove and the dragon Enzo (2/3) in front of you. From the platform Enzo is stood on you can look to your left and see all the gems on top of the buildings you were unable to get to earlier. Glide down to collect them and use the whirlwind that has now appeared below you to quickly make your way back up to the top of the cliff. Flame the rocket on the edge of the building closest to you; it will fly off and hit the large metal chest halfway up the winding cliff path, revealing some gems.
After you have collected all the gems on the rooftops, glide over to the rocky plateau on the right. Here you will have the opportunity to earn another trophy. There are several vultures on this plateau that will fly at you; flame-attack them all to earn:
Collect the gems scattered throughout this area and make your way around to the left and upwards to find the final dragon, Marco (3/3). From this high point, glide over to the buildings to the right of you to collect some more gems on the rooftops and then use the whirlwind that has appeared below you to make your way back up to Marco’s spot. To find the final gems, turnaround from Marco’s spot and walk towards the building where you began the level. You will see a raised ledge at the end of the ledge that runs around the edge of the building:
Glide over to it and make your way around the back of the building to find the last few gems. Backtrack over to the level exit and return to the hub.
Ice Cavern
The entrance to this level is found down the narrow passageway along the left edge of the hub.
When the level begins, hop down off the ledge in front of you, turn around and walk around the back of the wall to collect a few gems. Go down the ledge on the right to collect a few more gems and then make your way along the left hand side ledge which runs along the edge of the ice wall.
Kill the large enemy in front of you by flame-attacking him and continue along the ledge until you come to Ulric (1/5). You will see some bats flying around your head here; these are the small critters that will grant you health in this level if you take damage.
Continue onwards through the stone corridor, collect the gem on the window ledge to the right and collect the gems around the pillar in front of you (a small gnorc throwing snowballs will be running around here). After collecting all the gems, go forward through the doorway to the inside of the building.
Climb the icy steps carved into the wall on the right to make it to the upper level. Collect the gems and glide across the gaps to the platforms in front of you. At the end of the platforms, look right and you will see the chest in front of you. Walk to the end of this area and look to the left, where you will see the key below you. Glide over to the key and collect it. From here, glide over to the platform in front of you and make your way along the platform to the right.
Continue until you see a doorway on the left, which you can go through to rescue Andor (2/5). Collect the gems and extra life in this cavern area and defeat the large gnorc. Climb the steps and continue through the cavern (mind the hole in the middle of the ice platform!). You will see a large gnorc wearing armour in front of you. To defeat him, charge into him to knock him towards the edge of the platform, where he will slip off and fall.
After knocking him into the abyss, climb the steps and collect the gems on the right. Go through the doorway to reach Todor (3/5). Charge-attack the two lamp posts behind Todor to knock down the gems. Now that you have the key, backtrack to the chest by climbing the icy steps and gliding across the platforms. After opening the chest, glide back down to the platform where you collected the key and continue along the platform to the right.
Make your way up the icy bridge and jump on the slightly shorter pillar with the gold gem to jump across to the other pillars and collect the gems. When you get to the last pillar, jump forward into another cavern and charge-attack the large gnorc to knock him off the edge. There will be three skiing gnorcs in this next area; defeat them all to receive:
Make your way around to the right, defeat the skiing gnorc running around the pillar throwing snowballs and charge attack the large gnorc twice to knock him off the edge. Turn right and continue forward. Collect the gems on top of the lampposts on both sides of the area by charging into them and defeat the skiing gnorc in front of you. Drop down off the ledge in front of you and kill the third skiing gnorc for the Triathlon trophy, as well as the larger gnorc.
Climb the steps in front of you and charge the large gnorc in front of you twice to knock him off the edge. Follow the platform around to the right and save Ragnar (4/5). Go through the doorway behind Ragnar and drop down off the ledge. Defeat the large gnorc and walk forward through the doorway in front of you. Collect the gems and extra life in this room and on the ledge in front of you, then backtrack and go through a door on the left to come to the return home portal. Collect the final gems around the portal, save Asher (5/5) and use the portal to return to the hub.
Doctor Shemp
The entrance to this level is next to the ravine.
When the level begins, smash the metal chest to the side of you and walk forward down the edge of the cliff. You will come across several of those large gnorcs who slap the metal armoured guys and get them to charge at you. This happens on a couple of occasions as you are going around corners and so are unlikely to see them coming; instead listen to the tell-tale scream as they charge you.
Make your way along the cliff edge and collect the gems on the platforms adjacent to the cliff as you go. When you see the whirlwind in front of you, use it to glide up to the platform on the left. Turn around to face the way you came and you will see the chest key on a platform below you. Glide over to it and collect the key.
Use the whirlwind again and this time glide back down the cliff in the direction you came from to land on a platform next to a large gnorc. Go through the tunnel into the central area to collect a couple of metal chests and then backtrack to the whirlwind you used earlier. Instead of using the whirlwind, carry on along the cliff and make your way around the back of the building in front of you, where you will find another whirlwind hidden behind it.
Collect the gems on top of the pillar and then turn to the left, where you will see a pillar out in the distance. This is a pretty long jump to make so make sure you glide at the very top of your jump to make it over to collect the gem. Turn back around and use the first whirlwind you used to continue onwards to face Dr Shemp.
In this next section, you will gain a skill point for defeating shemp without getting hit. Firstly, drop down off the ledge and save Trondo (1/1). Hop up to the raised platform to face Shemp. Shemp is wearing metal armour on his front so must be flame-attacked from behind to damage him. To do this, you have to learn his attack pattern and flame him at the right moment.
On the first platform, Shemp will run towards you and smash his staff on the ground twice. Simply run behind him while he’s smashing and flame his bare bum. He will then run along the bridge to the next platform, so follow him up there. On the second platform, he will turn around once and smash his staff on the ground. You can run right up to him this time and flame him when he’s turned around before he gets a chance to damage you. When he runs onto the third and final platform, he will put his staff down on the ground and swing around. Jump over his staff and then flame him when he’s turned around. If you’ve done all that without getting hit you’ll be granted the skill point.
Pick up the gems that Shemp drops and make your way over the bridge that has appeared. Collect the gems along the rocky edge and drop down over the edge behind the return home portal to open the locked chest and earn:
You will now have collected all the gems in this level, so glide back over to the platforms below and make your way back up over the bridges to use the level exit portal.
Night Flight
The entrance to this level is on the right hand side of the ravine. You will have to hop over the pillars to get to it.
It’s much easier to ‘finish’ this level before going for the trophy, as once you have collected all the gems in the level the timer will count up instead of down in your subsequent runs.
The easiest order to collect all the items is as follows and a video has also been provided:
Fly forward through the 8 pink rings, and then continue forward and to the left to collect all 8 chests, which are balanced on the top of the crystals. Look down and to the left again to see the arches. Fly through all 8 arches (Note: in the video the player also collects a single lighthouse after the first archway, but this can be a difficult turning to pull off and is not necessary for completing the level within the timeframe) and then follow the large crystal around to the left, where you will see a lighthouse in front of you. Follow the first 3 lighthouses around to the left and then turn right and follow the line of the cliff, which will be on your right, until you get to the bit of the cliff that juts out. Turn left 90 degrees and go over the top of the building to collect the seventh lighthouse, and then go past the directional fairy (we’ll come back to her shortly) to see the final lighthouse in front of you. Although the route described above isn’t the fastest, it is the easiest and you should have 2-3 seconds to spare at the end.
After collecting everything, select retry from the menu. You will notice that the timer is now ticking up instead of down, so you have as much time as you need to find and flame-attack the three directional fairies in the level to earn the trophy. The locations of the fairies are as follows:
- Follow the rings through the tunnel; the fairy will be on the right as you exit the tunnel.
- On the right as you follow the line of gold chests, behind the third chest.
- Beyond the seventh lighthouse on the right (you passed her earlier on your route)
Flaming all three fairies will reward you with:
Crash into the water to end the run and return to the hub.
After returning to the hub, visit the balloonist and ask him to take you to the Magic Crafters hub world.
