If you have ever played a Call of Duty game, combat will feel standard with

to shoot. 
is also used to change weapons. The 
button snaps you into cover, 
is to crouch and pushing 
sprints. If you get into close quarters combat, you can and should perform a takedown using the 
which will take you into a Quick Time Event (QTE). This requires you to press the corresponding face button. Boss fights are also QTE's.
You have a Cell Phone, which you can access by pressing the 
button. It has a map that pinpoints the location of the enemies.This will come in very handy on the stealth levels. The phone doesn't pause the game however, so watch out if you use it during combat.
There is a mini-game for hacking which requires you to push or the d-pad in the direction of the green arrows, avoiding the red arrows.
If you die before a checkpoint, be aware that you will have to get all of the collectibles that you have collected since the last checkpoint. This game does not save what you did.
The game may get a little tricky if you play it on hard to start with, but is is not too hard once you get the hang of it. Keep at it! You can do it!
The most important piece of advice I can give you is... If you are in a gunfight with some bad guys, then get into cover! Are you trying to do some stealth sections of a level? Get in to cover! Are you still reading this? GET INTO COVER!
