In this section you will find what I would class as miscellaneous trophies. Some you may earn yourself in other modes, but I'll go through them all here first.
Miscellaneous
As soon as the game starts, you will get asked if you want to take part in the tutorial. Say yes and complete the tasks you're given.
They are:
- Place the cue ball with the button.
- Pull back on the right analogue stick then push forward to add power. The harder you hit, the more power you use.
- Add spin to the ball using the button.
- Clear the table.
If you want to restart the tutorial at any time, or you missed it in the first place, then go to the “Players” tab and select the Tutorial opponent.
After you complete it you will unlock:
Next you will want to download a D.N.A., which will give you another trophy.
To download a players D.N.A., go to the "Players" tab and find an online player; you can download their D.N.A. by selecting their name and then pressing . You don't need to play; as soon as it is downloaded, you will unlock:
If you choose to play against their DNA, I recommend playing 9-ball as it's easier. Winning this will unlock:
Another easy trophy for doing nothing is to issue a challenge. To do this, go to the "Players" tab and find a player, then press the button on their profile to issue a rematch. You don't even have to play the game; you get the trophy as soon as you hit the challenge button:
Shots and Wins
The next set of trophies are earned for doing specific shots or winning games in certain ways.
Note: These trophies are all much easier by using a second player. You can do this by going to the "Players" tab and choosing Player 2. While they can all be earned legitimately through any mode, I'll be instructing the easiest way to get them using the two players method.
Doubles shots can be done in either 8 or 9-ball. To pot a double, you have to hit the cue ball into the target ball so the ball bounces off one cushion and into the pocket. Following the video will unlock you both related trophies:

This will probably be your first 8-ball match, also unlocking:
Now play a 9-ball match against player two. If you break, be careful not to pop the 1 ball (Yellow). Try to set it up so you can hit the 1 ball into the 9 ball (yellow and white striped); if you pot the 9 ball with the 1 ball left on the table then you will unlock another trophy.
Here is a video I created myself that will help you:
If it's your first 9-ball match, you'll also pick up:
The next trophy is easiest to earn in 9-ball. I found that most of the time, when I broke, I pocketed 2, 3, or 4 balls by hitting it as hard as possible from the centre of the table. If you fail, just keep restarting until you get it. If you manage to pot 3 balls, you'll earn:
RicochetPot 3 or more balls off the break
The next can be earned while playing in 8-ball. When it is the second player's turn, pot the 8 ball before clearing all the other balls to give Player 1 the easy win. This will earn you:
This method can make the games quick and easy. Winning three matches without fouling will net you:
Boot up another 8-ball match for the next one. This may take a few goes; its really all about luck of ball placement. You'll need to be quick and precise to get the table cleared within the 70 seconds required for the trophy. You will not unlock this if the second player pots the 8 ball; they can pot other balls, but the 8 ball has to be done by you. With a few tries, you can pick up the pace and be rewarded with another trophy:
WhirlwindClear the table in 8-Ball in less than 70 seconds
The following video will help show you how to bank shot, which will earn you two more trophies if you win a game with one:

The next trophy is a nice and easy one. Load up a match and turn yourself right around, so you're facing completely the wrong way. Aim upwards and hit it as hard as possible. The ball should shoot through the air and off the table, earning you another trophy. Here's a video of myself doing this:
Play a game of 8-ball. You will need to pot all of the spots or all of the stripes without the other player potting any balls at all. This will unlock:
During a game of 8-ball, try and position the white (cue) ball behind one of your own balls after your shot, so that the second player has no way to hit any of their balls at all without bouncing off the cushion. This is known as a snooker. This may take a little time to set up, but will earn you:
In later tournaments or pro/master difficulty, the A.I. will snooker you a lot. Bounce yourself off the cushion to hit your own ball to get out of it; if you manage this, you will unlock the last shot related trophy:
Challenges
The next few trophies are related to the challenges in the game. To access the challenges, from the main table when you load up, press the Options button and go down to "Challenges".
For the first one, choose the challenge "Perfect Potter".
I wouldn't recommend moving the cue ball; just hit it straight on as hard as possible. You then have to hit each red ball into pockets until the table is clear. The first ball you miss will fail the challenge and you'll have to start again. The only thing I can suggest is to take it slow and easy; don't take chances on shots you're not 99% sure of potting.
The trophy will only unlock once you have cleared the table for the first time:
With the first one out of the way, you'll need to complete the other three challenges as well to unlock another trophy. The four challenges are:
Perfect Potter
Royal Rumble
Speedpot
Checkpoint
Finishing them all earns you:
Levelling
The next set are earned through levelling up. These will likely be the longest to obtain.
You will earn XP from every type of game mode, doing challenges, winning matches, and playing online. All XP earned shows up at the end of whatever it was you were doing. There's no sugar coating it; you will have to get to level 126 and it will take you many, many hours to do this. After doing all careers and unlocking all accolades, i'm still only at level 53. Having talked to the very few people that have managed to stick to it and level all the way up, they recommend playing the Perfect Potter challenge or the Royal Rumble challenge to farm XP.
The first levelling up trophy unlocks at level 18:
The second levelling up trophy unlocks at 45:
The third levelling up trophy unlocks at 81:
The fourth and final levelling up trophy unlocks at 126:
