Pure pool has just been released on ps4 published by Ripstone and developed by voofoo studio's anybody who has played WSC or hustle kings will understand how the game tends to work, it's only 8-ball and 9-ball there is no snooker or billiards in this game.

    Graphics -

The graphics are crisp, the balls are shiny, the table always looks so clean, they push the Playstation 4's graphics to the limit making it hard to see the difference between actually being in a pool hall and you playing with your controller at home, so much so when you go to pot the last ball if it's going in you will see a cinematic which is nice because it goes in slow motion and very close up side view you see the chalk smoking off the cue as you strike the ball.

    Gameplay And Modes -

The first thing you are presented with is a tutorial when you first boot up the game but well worth it to get you up to scratch before taking on the Computer and people all across the world, it is very easy to move through the menu's.

Once in the main menu you have lot of options e.g.

    - My games - This is where you find players from all over the world to play, create your own league to play against friends and have a practice.

    - Players - this is where you view cpu, friends, and players from all across the globe.

    - Career - Although they call it career it's not really there are 6 tournaments in total 3 for 9 ball, 3 for 8 ball amateur, pro, master. you will be given three accolades per match or minigame, such as win match without fouling or pot one ball off the break these accolades are also stars you have to get 100 stars in this mode minigames included in tournaments such as killer, perfect pot, speed pot, checkpoint and others you can also earn stars in these too.

    - Rankings - this is where you see where in the world you fare.

    - My profile - where you can change your skill type, cues, table clothes and check your accolades

    - Challenges - in here are four minigames - speed pot, checkpoint, perfect potter and royal rumble.

    Controls -

The controls are very smooth and work very well with the analog sticks, you can use the touchpad but this can be very fiddly I recommend sticking with the analog sticks.

The other thing missing from this game which you see in the world snooker games is the ability to press triangle for a top view, and no power bar either (thanks to purevapour) for reminding me of this.
    Trophies -

The trophies in this game are fairly standard 20 odd easy trophies, a few online trophies but they can be boosted very easy there is also a trophy for unlocking one of each accolade which will include playing no less than 1000 matches.

I give this game five stars the reason for this is because I absolutely love this game and this may seem strange but its a game that has brought me back to playing the ps4 instead of other consoles.

This is my first review I hope it is ok please comment...
