Through your many, many taps on the jar of mayo, you'll unlock trophies of accumulated taps. These will be shown at the end of the guide as you are likely to finish the stories before your 10,000 taps.
Using both the touch pad and 
on the PS4, you are able to tap the jar faster.
After each trophy in the story, press 
to view rewards and select the next one in the story, which are sometimes a little further down the list from the last. Only new storylines start above the previous storyline tiles. Tiles in the current story are always down the list, never above.
Wearing different outfits/costumes while tapping still adds to your overall taps.
