15. Item Research & Development

Items are equally important on missions, as you'll see as you continue to get S Ranks on Main Ops and Extra Ops. Items don't have usage levels, so you don't need to consider grinding levels for these. There are two trophies related to developing two different items, the Bandana and the Stealth Camouflage, and both are considered pretty far post-game items. If you want to rush to get these extremely valuable pieces of equipment, details on their acquisition can be found on the first Extra Ops page. Keep in mind that using the Stealth Camouflage voids any chance of you getting an A Rank; the Bandana doesn't void S Ranks and is actually widely considered necessary for getting S Ranks on the majority of the vehicle battles.
