5. Chapter 3 - Living Legend
Now we'll kick off Chapter 3 and our first stop is one of the biggest locations in the game: Lestallum. A map can be found below:
After your night in the Leville (the hotel), you'll give Iris a tour of Lestallum.
And after another cutscene by the Leville, 3 new additions will be added to the map: a treasure hunt, a new meal, and our first hidden cactuars (the cactuars are the more Northern yellow marker, treasure hunt the Southern one):
Just like the treasure hunts, a number of locations have hidden cactuar statues hidden around. There's a trophy for collecting all of them. In order to collect them, simply get near them and tap next to them and you'll get an indicator on the screen counting it and it'll disappear. For reference, the statues look like this:
There's 5 cactuar statues in this chapter and they can be found in the following locations:
1 - In the marketplace on the left side closer to the bottom of the area:
2 - Down the side on an alley near a billboard on a rusted out cart:
3 - Right next to the weapon shop:
4 - In the main square area peeking out behind a flag:
5 - Right in front of the scenic outlook:
Now onto the treasure hunt, which kicks off a little North of the scenic outlook. Instead of digging this time around, you'll just have to click on the object where the item is hidden.
The first spot can be found on a plant just North of the main square:
The second spot is next to where the treasure hunt initially started, just West:
The third and final spot is just to the left of where the fourth cactuar statue was, on the bench:
That's about it for Lestallum, so it's time to head out and head to the next area.
At Greyshire Glacial Grotto, we have a pretty massive dungeon:
Thankfully, there's only one trophy we have to worry about while traveling through the dungeon. Any time you see a set of tall icicles, break them like you would with any boxes. There's two types of icicles that you'll see that are breakable, but only the tall ones count:
After you get 4 of them, you'll pop the next trophy:
Unlocked by 233 tracked gamers (41% - TT Ratio = 1.56)
After you defeat the Mindflayer boss, you'll get your third royal arm, the Sword of the Wanderer and get another trophy:
Unlocked by 291 tracked gamers (51% - TT Ratio = 1.40)
Back in Lestallum, we have another cactuar statue hunt:
1 - Found on a bench just East of the scenic outlook:
2 - On a planter a little bit to the Northwest of the outlook:
3 - Far Eastern side right near the road, behind a column:
4 - North of the outdoor market, hiding on top of a building on the giant staircase:
5 - In the outdoor market all the way on the West side:
Now we're on to our next stop with our fun friend, Ardyn.
We're now in the last area in the chapter: Disc of Cauthess. A map can be found below:
As you make your way through, there are fire traps all over the ground. You can easily avoid them as they look like large cracks. These cracks telegraph an attack by blinking for about 8 seconds before fire spouts out of them:
These are very easy to avoid and can only burn you if they're in the last phase, burning brightly. In many cases, you can entirely go around them, fire or not. The only time you'll need to take special care around these are when you are in a battle near them.
Now that you have 3 royal arms, once you hit the first battle, it'll be your first opportunity to call forth Armiger. As mentioned on the General Tips page, this is the icon in the bottom right corner of the battle screen that fills up over time.
Additionally, once you use Armiger 10 times (will likely take replays, but now you have an opportunity to unlock it), you'll pop another trophy (the description incorrectly states royal arms):
Unlocked by 238 tracked gamers (42% - TT Ratio = 1.54)
At the end of the area, you'll face up against Titan and his trial. If you can make it through the whole thing without missing any QTEs (they're fairly easy, just button pressing and moving the left thumb-stick around), you'll pop two more trophies:
Unlocked by 286 tracked gamers (50% - TT Ratio = 1.41)
Unlocked by 203 tracked gamers (35% - TT Ratio = 1.67)
This is it for Chapter 3, but before we move on to the next one, move around on the map and you'll see what looks like dungeon entrances. Tap on these and you'll unlock a new Royal Arm for each one (no extra work needed!). After this, you should have a total of 7 Royal Arms.
