Here I will list all the magic available in the game and how to get them, in case you missed any or want to know how to get a particular spell.


Fire spells

Fire RF

Shoot a Fire-type bullet at the enemy.

Location: N/A

Fire RF-II

This is an upgrade version of Fire RF, shoot a Fire-type bullet to damage and pierce enemies.

Location: Complete the Expert Trial "Covering the Cadets" on Officer difficulty.

Fire SHG

Shoot a small Fire-type bullets to attack enemies over a wide range.

Location: Complete the Chapter 2 Mission "The Cadets' Fire Deployment" on Officer difficulty.

Fire SHG-II

This is an upgraded version of Fire SHG, send out piercing Fire-type energy in a straight line.

Location: Unlocks after you use Fire SHG 300 times, complete a Mission and you will unlock it at the report card screen.

Fire ROK

Shoot Fire-type bullets at the enemy.

Location: Complete the Chapter 3 Mission "Operation MA Demolition" on Officer difficulty.

Fire ROK-II

This is an upgraded version of Fire ROK, shoot powerful Fire-type bullets at the enemy.

Location: Complete the red SO "Endurance Test: Allow no casualties" in the area "West Stairwell" during the Chapter 2 Mission "The Capture of Togoreth Stronghold."

Fire MIS

Launch a Fire-type bullet that pursues its target.

Location: You have complete the Chapter 5 Mission "The Battle of Judecca" on Officer difficulty, however you have to use Bahamut ZERO, if you kill the boss without this summon's help you won't get the spell.

Fire MIS-II

This is an upgraded version of Fire MIS, Launch a slow but powerful Fire-type bullet that pursues its target.

Location: Complete the red SO "Endurance Test: Allow no casulties" in the area "First Line" During the Chapter 6 Mission "The Clash on Big Bridge."

Fire BOM

Send a wave of Fire-type energy around the user.

Location: Learn this by taking the lecture "FRMG-101: Elementary Fire Magic I" from Moglin which is available in Chapter 3.

Fire BOM-II

This is an upgraded version of Fire BOM, send out a lasting wave of Fire-type energy around the user.

Location: Complete the Chapter 7 Mission "Capturing the Imperial Capital" on Officer difficulty.


Ice spells

Ice RF

Shoot an Ice-type bullet at the enemy.

Location: Learn this by taking the lecture "ICMG-101: Elementary Ice Magic I" from Mog which is available in Chapter 3.

Ice RF-II

This is an upgraded version of Ice RF, Shoot an Ice-type bullet to damage and pierce enemies.

Location: Complete the Chapter 7 Expert Trial "The Reclamation from Roshana" on Officer difficulty.

Ice SHG

Shoot small Ice-type bullets to attack enemies over a wide range.

Location: Complete the Chapter 5 Mission "The Reclamation of Eibon" on Officer Difficulty.

Ice SHG-II

This is an upgraded version of Ice SHG, send out piercing Ice-type energy in a straight line.

Location: Unlocks after you use Ice SHG 300 times, complete a Mission and you will unlock it at the report card screen.

Ice ROK

Shoot Ice-type bullets at the enemy.

Location: Complete the red SO "Sneak into the R&D facility undetected using your active leader" in the area "Materiel Depot" during the Chapter 3 Mission "Operation MA Demolition."

Ice ROK-II

This is an upgraded version of Ice ROK, shoot powerful Ice-type bullets at the enemy.

Location: Complete the red SO "Take down one mid-sized carrier using your active leader" in the area "District 0711" During the Chapter 4 Mission "Escaping the Imperial Capital."

Ice MIS

Launch an Ice-type bullet that pursues its target.

Location: Complete the Chapter 3 Expert Trial "The Clash in the Caverns" on Officer difficulty.

Ice MIS-II

This is an upgraded version of Ice MIS, launch a slow but poiwerful Ice-type bullet that pursues its target.

Location: Complete the red SO "Combat Trial: Do not engage any enemies" in the area "Crystaline Cloudfield" during the Chapter 5 Mission "The Battle of Judecca."

Ice BOM

Send out a wave of Ice-type energy around the user.

Location: N/A

Ice BOM-II

This is an upgraded version of Ice BOM, send out a lasting wave of Ice-type energy around the user.

Location: Complete the Chapter 6 Mission "The Last Line of Defense" on Officer difficulty on your second playthrough.


Thunder spells

Thunder RF

Shoot a Lightning-type bullet at the enemy.

Location: In chapter 2 you will be asked to go to the Altocrystarium, while there interact with the object and you will obtain this spell.

Thunder SHG

Send out Lightning-type energy across a set range.

Location: N/A

Thunder SHG-II

This is an upgraded version of Thunder SHG, send out piercing Lightning-type energy in a straight line.

Location: Unlocks after you use THunder SHG 300 times, complete a Mission and you will unlock it at the report card screen.

Thunder ROK

Shoot Lightning-type bullets at the enemy.

Location: Complete the Chapter 4 Mission "Escaping the Imperial Capital" on Officer difficulty.

Thunder ROK-II

This is an upgraded version of Thunder ROK, shoot powerful Lightning-type bullets at the enemy.

Location: Complete the red SO "Defeat two snow giants using your active leader" in the area "Underground storeroom" during the Chapter 4 Mission "Escaping the Imperial Capital."

Thunder MIS

Launch a Lightning-type bullet that pursues its target.

Location: Complete the sidequest "The Phantoma Menace VI" during Chapter 7.

Thunder MIS-II

This is an upgraded version of Thunder MIS, launch a slow but powerful Lightning-type bullet that pursues its target.

Location: Complete the red SO "Take down two Colossi using your active leader" in the area "Big Bridge" during the Chapter 6 Mission "The Clash on Big Bridge."

Thunder BOM

Send out a wave of Lightning-type energy around the user.

Location: Learn this by taking the lecture "LTMG-101: Elementary Lightning Magic I" from Mog which is available in Chapter 3.

Thunder BOM-II

This is an upgraded version of of Thunder BOM, send out a lasting wave of Lightning-type energy around the user.

Location: Complete the Chapter 7 Mission "Machina's Struggle" on officer difficulty on your second playthrough.


Defensive Spells

Cure

Restore HP.

Location: N/A

Wall

Generate a barrier in order to block enemy gunfire.

Locations: N/A

Protect

Receive Protect status.

Location: Talk with Kurasame before the Chapter 3 Mission "The Infiltration of Iscah."

Esuna

Cure all status ailments.

Location: Learn this by taking the lecture "DFMG-102: Elementary Defense Magic II" from Mog which is available in Chapter 3.

Raise

Revived KO'd characters (So long they are still on the floor and hasn't disappeared yet.)

Location: Complete the Chapter 3 Mission "The Infiltration of Iscah" on Agito difficulty.

Avoid

Automatically consume MP in order to dodge enemy attacks.

Location: Class First Moogle will reward you with this after you have 10 hours gameplay time done.


Unique Magic

Reraise II

Fully restore all alllies' HP and MP, and grant Reraise.

Location: Earn the SPP rank Guardian God. (Just stop using SPP within Missions and you will go from Supreme God to Guardian God eventually)

Aloud

Fire bullets over a wide range in front of the user.

Location: Complete the Chapter 7 Expert Trial "The Amiter Resistance" on Officer difficulty.

Bio

Inflict enemies with Poison.

Location: Complete the Chapter 3 Expert Trial "The Keziah Diversion" on Officer difficulty.

Quake

Deal Earth-type damage to a wide area around the user.

Lcation: Complete the Red SO "Defeat the Demonicorn with your active leader" in the area "Sample Depository" in the Chapter 2 Mission "Operation Breakthrough" on the second playthrough.

Death

Inflict enemies with Killsight.

Location: Complete the red SO "Performance Evaluation: Defeat diepvern" in the area "Town of Amiter (4)" on the Chapter 7 Expert Trial "The Amiter Resistance."

Tornado

Generate a giant tornado to deal Wind-type damage.

Location: Complete the Chapter 3 Mission "A Fog-Laden Foray" on Agito difficulty on your second playthrough.

Meteor

Send a meteorite crashing down from the sky to attack over a wide range.

Location: Complete the Chapter 5 Expert trial "Colonel Faith's Revolt" on Finis difficulty.

Holy

Launch a sphere of holy energy to damage enemies.

Location: Complete the Chapter 7 Expert Trial "Dominating the Dragon's Nest" on Finis difficulty.

Ultima

Attack over a wide range.

Location: You need to earn 150,000 SPP to be rewarded this spell.

Some of these seem hard or daunting like getting Ultima, however you can farm SPP if yo are willing to do so for hours xD
