So it's more like how Google Marketplace directly states that some games you download, while free, offer In-app purchases, and doesn't necessarily modify the state in which the transactions modify the game? Doesn't seem like they thought their stance on it well enough.

Yes, because labels have always worked to prevent things. Just like how those M-rated labels on the front prevent kids from playing mature titles? Or even better, no one dies from lung cancer anymore since the Tobacco Industry was required to put warnings on packs, right? Oh wait....

I agree with the final line, this isn't over by a long shot. Mainly because this ESRB 'solution' will do nothing to solve the problem, which is what people want - a solution. Covering it up with a useless label will not be good enough. I guess more foreign governments will have to keep setting the standard we follow, as usual, by continuing to outlaw it before the US government has no choice but to step in and take action.

So... basically, this label will be on virtually every game box from now on? That rankles. Companies that respect their customers like CD Projekt shouldn't be tarred with the same brush that EA and Activision richly deserve.
