Lifetime option?

I was just curious as to why there isn't a lifetime purchase available for the Pro Account? ... Also as to why the cost is much higher in comparison to the competitors such as PSNtrophyleaders and psnprofiles which are 14.99 and 12.99 for lifetime respectively.

I really like the benefits that a PRO account has, but because of the cost and a lack of a lifetime option, I don't know if I'll renew.

    Hi there

To be honest it's not something we've considered before, but I guess it's something we could add.

As for the price comparison, we use the same prices as TrueAchievements and the prices are fair compared to other sites on the Xbox side.

What do you get for your lifetime subs on the sites you mentioned?

PSN Profiles is - Ad Free, Auto updates every 6 hours, Update 1 per minute, 10 Trophies in their cabinet, Golden Name, Larger avatar file size, username changes.

Psntrophyleaders - Auto updates every 6 hrs, new user daily add limit 20, Advanced custom trophy cards, statistical charts (everyone), level history graph (everyone), milestones (everyone), Can create new tournaments (5 active with 500 participants), can post inline forum comments, change your country.

Sorry for getting back to you so late, I didn't see the response... and thanks for such a quick response.

Even if you kept the pricing, very similar, if you added a lifetime one for the cost of 2 - 3 years or something, you might get a bunch of people on board... 50$ wouldn't be terrible for lifetime in comparison to buying every year. But you see my dilemma with all of the competitive sites.

I honestly wouldn't mind an option on both ends. A lifetime option or a monthly option.

I just realized that pro doesn't work on my TA account as well... which is a huge bummer. I would have loved to download a backlog list and get that sorted.

@Truetrophy, did you guys ever discuss if that option was doable?

Still curious if it was possible... I'm no longer a pro member and can't fathom spending that much money right now on a pro subscription.

I would still love this option, any chance it's been discussed? ... also the fact that I have a ton of friends that are hesitant on the switch with the price so high and the ad's being such a nuisance. I understand you are making it similar to the Xbox sister site, but you should take into account PSN site tracking not xbox, since you are trying to get people to join from other PS sites... Also that's like saying well XBOX One X's sell for 500$, so should PS4's. Might not be the best analogy, but you understand.
There are three kinds of people in this world. People who can count and people who can't.

    Hi there

    Sorry for not replying sooner.

This has been (and continues to be) very tricky for me to balance in my head. Everything you say is absolutely fair, and at the same time I am also of course massively conscious of TAs pricing structure and don't want to do anything that would cause a community backlash over there.

I'll spend some more time thinking about it over the coming days and speak to the staff on both sites.

I'm sorry I don't have anything more useful for you right now though

Honestly, while those other sites are cheaper; I think TrueTrophies offers a more personal and unique service with the weighted TT scores being a big part of that. I'm also a member of PSN Profiles, but I don't use that site anywhere near as much despite it being way more active because I like the aims TT is going for, (and the members on PSN Profiles have a strong tendency towards fanboyism if you so much as slightly criticise any game).

While a lifetime membership would be cool... the current structure is fair and reasonable. If you don't think lifetime memberships would be sustainable; don't do it. I'd rather pay more than see TT eventually closing it's doors due to higher expenses.

TrueTrophies is the only site that offered features that I would be willing to pay for, but the high subscription price and lack of lifetime sub are why I haven't yet. I get this site is a spinoff of a more popular XBox sister site, but since playstation sites are much cheaper it will just ultimately hurt TT to not be competitive in that regard.

I have premium membership of PSNProfiles. I don't pay for TT premium because it's only for one year and not lifetime. If TT ever started a lifetime membership for the same price, I'd buy it ASAP.
