I work with Game Over Events, based in Sheffield UK. We put on video game based parties and bar crawls and I feel like this is the perfect place to drop a cheap plug for an event we have coming up in a couple of weeks! Apologies if this impedes on any forum rules.
Game Over are turning 2! So we're throwing a huge party!
What are the key ingredients to a really good party? What makes a party perfect? Well, we believe we have the formula, and can finally announce we have all bases covered!
We have the perfect venue in Bungalows and Bears. You simply must see how Game Over looks in its new spiritual home. We’re still so psyched to be working with one of the most hip and happening bars in Sheffield.
We have a litany of games to jump in and out of all night long. Expect party games, racing games, fighting games, old school and new; casual fun or competitive tournaments. We got you covered. Make new friends and new enemies!
Banging tunes and DJ sets? We have local decksmith, Kyle Robertson, providing the soundtrack for the evening. Kyle prides himself on rising above current fads and playing for his audience. Positive vibes assured.
Cake? Oh, we got cake.
Guests of honour? Local game developers, Sumo Digital (Crackdown 3, Outrun 2, Littlebigplanet 3), will be showcasing their latest project, Snake Pass, available to play at the event. Get a final sneak peak before the game is launched later this year.
Presents? Well, courtesy of our aforementioned guests, Sumo Digital, we are going to provide free drinks to the first 100 people to attend the event! That’s right, 100 free drinks just for you guys.
