EU Playstation Store Discounts: August 12th, 2015

AC Rogue is tempting but I'd rather have all AC games on disc. Bioshock trilogy was tempting until I realised I was thinking of Borderlands.

Nothing for me luckily, I already bought two titles in the summer sale list from today that was announced two weeks ago and I honestly want to get on that backlog.

I think the PS4 discounts are pretty poor, nothing you couldn't get cheaper physical. But the PS3 (and Vita, if you like those few games and haven't bought them already) discounts are pretty good! AC Rogue is the standout for me as trying to find that for a good price on disc is a nightmare! HOW! The price for Unity is frequently at a bargain price and they released at the same time- and contrary to norms the PS4 game is the one that lost its price rather than the PS3 game? Not sure why you disliked Bioshock so much but I can see you've played a lot of Borderlands so you really shouldn't get those confused anymore! xD Personally I get Darksiders and The Darkness confused all the time! (It just took me about an hour to find the name of the second game that's how confused I was lol)

No arcade games so looks like nothing tempting for me this week.

I don't have my GwG games anymore, and now for PS3/4 I'd like to get them all on disc again. Getting Revelations from a friend who's done with PS3 so I'm only missing Rogue after that.

With other series, I'm less inclined to get everything on disc and I'm indeed looking more for the best deal. Through circumstance, I have my other favourite series (Batman) completely digital on Playstation - Asylum from PS+, City from a sweet sale and Knight because my Limited Edition was delayed and I got a download version as a peacekeeper. The big series I play with the missus (LEGO) is a damn right mess, with me owning some on disc and some digital.

As for Bioshock/Borderlands: I play Tales Of The Borderlands right now and I did play Borderlands 1 on the X360. I'd probably like to play the other two Borderlands games though. I also played Bioshock 1 and 3 on the X360 but I finished neither - don't have a great reason, it just did not appeal to me. I thought the first was bland and boring and tried to get into it several times. With 3, I just got halfway through and realised I was very bored. I don't know why I keep getting confused but every once in a while I read Bioshock and I think Borderlands. Don't seem to get it the other way around though.

Don't really need to but when you think about how we treasure Batman media from 20 or even 50 years ago it has a more timeless feel than most.

Up until now I couldn't find AC Rogue PS3 for less than £18 (GAME is still selling at £22 and all my credit is there), even though the 360 version was once less than £13 two months ago. Now I'm seeing it available for about £15 which is the same as the sale price... that makes me think twice as the physical version at least would have resale value. But PSN credit you can buy cheaper than face value so now I'm torn...

Infamous Second Son now costs about 50% more than it did a few months ago >_< I think I'll buy AC Rogue one way or another next week because I don't want any regrets.

Prem I just can't stop, I think if if I didn't buy anymore games I'd have enough to last me until the next generations.

I know the feeling, I have enough PS3/360 games to last me until PS5... except now I have PS4 games to add to the list xD
That is a lot of whole collections though o.O What I try to do these days is cut out whole series which I don't need. If you've not already played the games in each of those series, then you should know that the best one is Prince of Persia. Obv.

Thanks Prem I'll start with that one then. I remember playing it on my Amiga and loving it but I've not played it since. It looks like an easy platinum too judging by the amount of completions on TT.

Sorry I have to tell you I was just joking because I like the name Prince They're actually all good so I hope you enjoy. The only one in the sale that I'm uncertain about is AC Liberation because I have heard it has tons of bugs and I haven't heard that they have been fixed in either the original or the HD port. So I'm still undecided on whether I want this game even though I buy all of the main AC games and DLC.BillyHorrible said:I'd say the best in that list is the Batman collection, by far...Ah, but some would say it is a 'collection' of only two very good games, as Origins is obviously very controversial and Blackgate I have heard so little about it seems entirely inconsequential. And of course the collection doesn't include Arkham Knight. You could just buy the first to games cheaply on disc, especially Arkham City which would include all of the expensive DLC (on disc rather than download code, which is a rare treat) if you got the GOTY edition.

Yeah... When I think of "Arkham Collection" I'm really only thinking of Asylum-City and then came Knight. And as for City, you really only need the Harley DLC. They go online in these sales for much cheaper than what I see for discs in used game stores.

I picked up AC Rogue and the Infamous bundle. Also, from the other list, PEGGLE 2. :D

I got half way through my first playthrough of the second PoP game and got bored/frustrated. No stacking difficulty achievements is so ugh. Add on hard as nails combat and highly aged platforming mechanics and you've got an annoying ass game. :p

play Prince of Persia 2008 instead
