PlayStation Stars came so close to giving us cheaper rewards this week

It would be nice if the campaigns actually triggered. I can't get some of them done and the reddit sub is full of people in the same boat. Getting to the point of not bothering at all with it.

I don't even bother going out of my way doing campaigns. I'll activate them if I'm in the app and if the games I play qualify, great. If not, oh well.

I've redeemed three $5 vouchers from my time using the app, but most of my reward points came from buying games, not doing these tedious activities (like download a game just to boot it up to get the reward).

I don't see the reason to redeem any of the not-NFT-but-kinda-NFT rewards as what exactly are you getting here? Even if they integrated your display case to the PS5, what is the value here?

Don't get me wrong, spend your money the way you want to if you are into collecting the digital rewards. Heck it's not that unsimilar to trophy hunting.

Then again, how do you make Stars a more relevant and worthwhile program?

My only complaint is not the games being added. I just get the coins when there is a good sale on and just use the coins and get some cheap games i'm missing.

The frustrating part is buying a game and then checking stars and says "Go buy this game" like, but i wonder, i have never clicked them, i wonder if you click them if they'll auto complete.

Test done. They do not. That's so epically meh. The october monthly picks i own all those games. Like wth. gimme my 50 extra coins bro.

But if Sony makes the stars program more appealing or gives it any real utility whatsoever, many more people will be upset when it inevitably shits the bed, as it has frequently done already for extended periods.

Brilliant move, really, to make the program so lackluster that comparatively few people bother complaining anymore when it's unavailable.
